Abstract
The development of story-based games allows players to form attachments to virtual characters through various interactive features. Love and Deepspace is one such game that offers an interactive experience with virtual characters and has the potential to foster parasocial relationships. This study aims to examine the relationship between character attachment to virtual characters in the game Love and Deepspace and parasocial relationships among young adults. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study sample consisted of 370 young adult women aged 18–25 who actively played *Love and Deepspace* and were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Character Attachment Scale (CAS) and the Multiple Parasocial Relationship Scale (Multiple-PSR). Data analysis was performed using Spearman’s Rho correlation. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between character attachment and parasocial relationships (rₛ = 0.528; p < 0.001). Keywords: Character Attachment, Parasocial Relationship, virtual characters, Love and Deepspace, early adulthood.
