Abstract
The rapid development of information technology encourages Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) to adopt digital systems in order to improve service quality and user experience. Toko Bunda Kito, as an MSME engaged in selling baking ingredients, faces a problem due to the absence of a feature that can help customers determine the type of cake that can be made based on the ingredients they have. This condition causes customers to continue searching for recipes manually from various sources. This research aims to develop a web-based cake recipe recommendation system by applying the Content-Based Filtering method and the Cosine Similarity algorithm. The research dataset consists of a collection of cake recipes along with the list of ingredients used in each recipe. Before the recommendation process is carried out, the data undergoes several preprocessing stages, including data cleaning, ingredient name normalization, binary encoding, feature vector construction (X Matrix), and similarity calculation among recipe data using Cosine Similarity. The resulting similarity values are utilized to determine the recipe that has the highest level of compatibility with the ingredients selected by the user. The recommendation system is implemented in the form of a REST API using the Flask framework so that it can be integrated with a web application. The evaluation is conducted through functional testing to ensure that all system features operate according to the requirements and produce relevant recommendations based on the ingredients entered by the user. The results of this research indicate that the system is capable of providing recipe recommendations according to the level of ingredient similarity and assisting users in finding alternative recipes more quickly without performing manual searches. Keywords: recommendation system, cake recipes, content-based filtering, cosine similarity, REST API Seiring berjalannya perkembangan teknologi menjadi faktor yang mendorong pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk beralih ke sistem digital agar dapat meningkatkan kualitaslayanan dan pengalaman pengguna. Toko Bunda Kito sebagai UMKM penjual bahan kue menghadapi permasalahan berupa belum tersedianya fitur yang dapat membantu pelanggan menentukan jenis kue yang dapat dibuat berdasarkan bahan yang dimiliki. Kondisi ini menyebabkan pelanggan masih harus mencari resep secara manual dari berbagai sumber. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem rekomendasi resep kue berbasis web dengan menerapkan metode Content-Based Filtering dan algoritma Cosine Similarity. Dataset penelitian terdiri atas kumpulan resep beserta daftar bahan yang digunakan pada setiap resep. Sebelum prosesrekomendasi dilakukan, data melalui beberapa tahapan preprocessing yang meliputi pembersihan data, normalisasi nama bahan, encoding biner, pembentukan vektor bahan (X Matrix), dan perhitungan tingkat kemiripan antar data resep menggunakan Cosine Similarity. Nilai kemiripan tersebut dimanfaatkan untuk menentukan resep yang memiliki tingkat kesesuaian tertinggi terhadap bahan yang dipilih oleh pengguna. Sistem rekomendasi diimplementasikan dalam bentuk REST API menggunakan framework Flask agar dapat terintegrasi dengan aplikasi web. Pengujian dilakukan melalui pengujian fungsional untuk memastikan seluruh fitur berjalan sesuai kebutuhan serta menghasilkan rekomendasi yang relevan berdasarkan bahan yang dimasukkan pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memberikan rekomendasi resep yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemiripan bahan dan mendukung pengguna dalam menemukan alternatif resep secara lebih cepat tanpa melakukan pencarian manual.
