Abstract
This research focuses on the development of a web-based information system prototype to optimize business management at ABIKOM, a computer store in Sukabumi City. The main problems faced by ABIKOM are the continued use of manual systems for recording sales transactions, inventory management, computer service management, and the absence of an online product ordering platform integrated with inventory and service management. These issues lead to various obstacles such as data errors, difficulty tracking service status, inaccurate stock records, and slow customer service processes. This study employs the User Centered Design (UCD) method to ensure that the system developed aligns with user needs. Data collection was carried out through direct observation and interviews at ABIKOM, as well as a literature review from various relevant sources. The result of this research is a web-based information system prototype that includes modules for online sales, inventory, service management, and customer management. System evaluation utilizes the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure the usability level of the system. The developed prototype is expected to optimize ABIKOM’s business processes by improving operational efficiency and overall service quality. Keywords: Prototype, Information System, User Centered Design, System Usability Scale, Computer Shop Management Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan prototype sistem informasi berbasis web untuk mengoptimalkan pengelolaan bisnis di ABIKOM, sebuah toko komputer di Kota Sukabumi. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi ABIKOM adalah sistem manual yang masih diterapkan dalam pencatatan transaksi penjualan, pengelolaan stok, manajemen layanan servis komputer, serta belum adanya platform untuk pemesanan produk secara online yang terintegrasi dengan manajemen stok dan servis. Hal ini menimbulkan berbagai kendala seperti kesalahan data, kesulitan melacak status servis, ketidakakuratan stok, dan lambatnya proses pelayanan pelanggan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD) untuk memastikan sistem yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara di ABIKOM, serta studi literatur dari berbagai sumber terkait. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah prototype sistem informasi berbasis web yang mencakup modul penjualan online, inventaris, servis, dan manajemen pelanggan. Evaluasi sistem menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS) untuk mengukur tingkat kebergunaan sistem. Prototype yang dikembangkan diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan proses bisnis ABIKOM dengan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan kualitas layanan secara keseluruhan.
