Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an Android-based alarm application to assist users in effectively managing and remembering training schedules at LPK Lumosa. The variables examined in this study include usability, notification accuracy, alarm effectiveness, and user satisfaction with the developed application. This research adopts a software engineering approach using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation stages. The sample of this study consists of employees and training participants at LPK Lumosa who use the application, selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria, such as active participation in training and ownership of an Android device. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to users. The data analysis methods used are qualitative and quantitative analysis, employing a Likert scale to measure user satisfaction, as well as system testing using the black-box testing method to evaluate application functionality. The results show that the developed application runs effectively on various Android devices, provides a user-friendly interface, and delivers timely alarm notifications according to the scheduled training time. In addition, the application is capable of storing and displaying training schedule data in a structured and real-time manner. User evaluation results indicate that the application facilitates better schedule management and improves users’ discipline and time management. Furthermore, the integration of real-time data synchronization enhances the responsiveness of the system and ensures up-to-date information delivery. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Android-based alarm application is effective and feasible as a digital solution to support more organized and efficient training activities. Keywords: Android Application, Alarm, Training Schedule, Notification, Time Management berbasis Android yang dapat membantu pengguna dalam mengingat dan mengelola jadwal training secara efektif pada LPK Lumosa. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi kemudahan penggunaan aplikasi (usability), ketepatan waktu notifikasi (accuracy), efektivitas sistem alarm, serta tingkat kepuasan pengguna terhadap aplikasi yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan rekayasa perangkat lunak dengan metode pengembangan System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model Waterfall yang terdiri dari tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Sampel penelitian adalah karyawan dan peserta training di LPK Lumosa yang menggunakan aplikasi, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria tertentu, seperti pengguna aktif training dan memiliki perangkat Android. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada pengguna, sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan skala Likert untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan pengguna serta analisis pengujian sistem menggunakan metode black-box testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan mampu berjalan dengan baik pada berbagai perangkat Android, memiliki antarmuka yang userfriendly, serta mampu memberikan notifikasi alarm secara tepat waktu sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan. Selain itu, aplikasi juga mampu menyimpan dan menampilkan data jadwal training secara terstruktur dan real-time. Hasil evaluasi pengguna menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini memberikan kemudahan dalam pengelolaan jadwal serta membantu meningkatkan kedisiplinan dan manajemen waktu pengguna. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi alarm berbasis Android ini efektif dan layak digunakan sebagai solusi digital dalam mendukung pelaksanaan kegiatan training yang lebih terorganisir dan efisien.
