Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is driving the implementation of automated systems in various fields, including package delivery management and security. This research aims to design and implement an ESP-32- based smartbox system capable of detecting package presence, verifying barcodes, displaying information on an I2C LCD, sending notifications, and receiving control commands via the Telegram application. This system uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect the package's distance within the smartbox, a barcode scanner for package validation, an I2C LCD to display system status, and a door lock solenoid that can be controlled automatically or remotely. A Telegram Bot is used for notification and door opening and closing control via the /open and /close commands. Test results show that the ultrasonic sensor is capable of detecting package distance with a relatively low error rate within tolerance limits. Telegram notifications are successfully sent according to each system status change. Furthermore, door control commands via Telegram can be executed with an average response time of 1-2 seconds. Based on these results, the designed smartbox system can work well and is suitable for use as an IoT-based package monitoring and management solution. Keywords: Internet of Things, Smart Delivery Drop Box, Telegram Bot, Barcode scanner, mikrokontroler Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) mendorong penerapan system otomatis pada berbagai bidang, salah satunya dalam pengelolaan dan keamanan pengiriman paket. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancangan dan merealisasikan system smartbox berbasis ESP-32 yang mampu mendeteksi keberadaan paket, melakukan verifikasi barcode, ESP-32 yang mampu mendeteksi keberadaan paket, melakukan verifikasi barcode, menampilkan informasi pada LCD I2C, serta mengirimkan notifikasi dan menerima perintah kendali melalui aplikasi Telegram. Penesistem ini menggunakan sensor ultrasonic untuk mendteksi jarak paket di dalam smartbox, barcode scanner sebagai validasi paket, LCD I2C sebagai media tampilan status system, serta lock door solenoid yang dapat dikendalikan secara otomatis maupun jarak jauh. Telegram Bot dimanfaatkan sebagai media notifikasi dan kendali buka-tutup pintu melalui perintah /open dan /close. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sensor ultrasonic mampu mendeteksi jarak paket dengan Tingkat error yang relative kecil dan masih dalam batas toleransi. Notifikasi Telegram berhasil dikirimkan sesuai dengan setiap perubahan status sistem, selain itu, perintah kendali pintu melalui Telegram dapat diekseskusi dengan waktu respon rata-rata 1-2 detik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, sistem smartbox yang dirancang dapat bekerja dengan baik dan layak digunakan sebagai solusi pemantauan dan pengelolaan paket berbasis IoT.
