Abstract

The construction project of the General Campus Building of Haluoleo University in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, is a newly established building located within the Green Campus area of Haluoleo University, adjacent to the former Rectorate Building. The building consists of nine floors and one rooftop level. This new campus building has obtained Green Building certification, which requires the implementation of environmentally friendly energy aspects within the building. One of the efforts undertaken to fulfill this requirement is the utilization of a Solar Power Plant (PLTS). The PLTS is designed to support the electrical power demand on the 8th and 9th floors of the building.In addition, the geographical location of Kendari City, which is close to the equator and has high solar radiation intensity, makes the application of PLTS highly suitable for this building. The type of PLTS used in this project is an on-grid system, which does not use batteries for energy storage but is directly connected to the PLN electricity grid. This configuration is considered adequate due to the operational hours of the campus building, which are generally limited to daytime until the afternoon. Therefore, the on-grid system is sufficient to support the electrical load on the 8th and 9th floors.The research method applied in this study is qualitative and was conducted directly at Haluoleo University in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. Data collection was carried out by sampling the DC power output, AC power output, and voltage produced by the inverter. A total of ten measurements were taken over a period of 4.5 hours, from 10:30 WITA to 15:00 WITA. Based on the research results, the PLTS was able to produce 72.16 kWh of electrical energy, while the electrical consumption at a 90% load on the 8th and 9th floors amounted to 69.83 kWh. Furthermore, from a cost perspective, the implementation of the on-grid PLTS system resulted in electricity cost savings of Rp.4,083,848 per month. With an initial investment cost of Rp 367,821,400 for the On-Grid PLTS system, the payback period is approximately eight years, with an accumulated profit of Rp 203,315,584 over a 20-year operational period. Keywords: Solar Power Plant (PLTS), On-Grid, Power Analysis, Cost Analysis, Investment Analysis Proyek pembangunan Gedung Kampus Umum Universitas Haluoleo di Kota Kendari Sulawesi Tenggara merupakan sebuah gedung baru yang berdiri ditengah Kawasan Kampus Hijau Universitas Haluoleo bersebelahan dengan Gedung Rektorat lama terdiri dari 9 lantai dan 1 lantai atap. Gedung kampus baru ini juga mempunyai sertifikasi Green Building yang dimana sebuah gedung mengharuskan aspek energi ramah lingkungan dalam gedungnya, salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah penggunaan PLTS, PLTS ini nantinya akan mengbackup kebutuhan daya listrik pada lantai 8 dan lantai 9. Ditambah dengan dukungan letak geografis Kota Kendari yang berdekatan dengan garis khatulistiwa dengan intensitas matahari yang tinggi penggunaan PLTS sangat cocok diterapkan di gedung baru ini. Tipe PLTS yang digunakan dalam gedung ini adalah Tipe On-Grid, yang dimana tipe ini tidak menggunakan baterai untuk menyimpan dayanya melainkan terhubung langsung dengan listrik PLN karena berdasarkan operasional gedung kampus yang hanya digunakan hanya sampai sore hari, jadi tipe On-Grid sudah cukup untuk mengbackup kebutuhan daya lisrik di lantai 8 dan lantai 9. Metode yang digunakan pada tugas ini yaitu kualitatif yang dimana penelitian ini dilakukan langsung di Universitas Haluoleo Kota Kendari Sulawesi Tenggara dilakukan pengambilan sampel output daya DC, AC dan tegangan yang dikeluarkan dari inverter sebanyak 10 kali dalam waktu kurun waktu 4,5 jam dimulai dari jam 10.30 WITA hingga 15.00 WITA, dari hasil penelitan ini PLTS mampu memproduksi daya sebesar 72.16 kWh dari penggunaan daya 90% pada lantai 8 dan lantai 9 sebesar 69.83 kWh selain itu dari sisi biaya penggunaan PLTS tipe On-Grid mampu melakukan penghematan sebesar Rp. 4.083.848/bulan. Dengan Biaya pengadaan PLTS tipe On-Grid sebesar Rp. 367.821.400 waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk biaya balik modal pengadaan PLTS adalah 8 tahun sekaligus biaya akumulasi keuntungan yang didapat sebesar Rp. 203.315.584 selama penggunaan 20 tahun Kata Kunci : PLTS, On-Grid, Analisa Daya, Analisa Biaya, Analisa Investasi
