Abstract
The development of information technology has encouraged companies to shift from manual recording systems to computerized systems in order to improve efficiency and accuracy in data management. CV. Arkha Karunia Utama, a company engaged in the beauty product industry, still uses manual and spreadsheetbased stock recording, which may cause recording errors, data inconsistencies, duplication, and delays in report preparation. This study aims to design and implement a web-based stock recording information system to minimize recording errors and improve inventory management efficiency. This study applies a qualitative research approach with observation as the data collection technique. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was built using PHP and MySQL and implements the First In First Out (FIFO) algorithm, along with sorting, data validation, and search algorithms. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method. The results indicate that the developed system is able to manage incoming and outgoing goods data in an integrated manner, automatically update stock levels, and provide accurate and real-time inventory reports. The implementation of this system reduces recording errors, prevents data duplication, accelerates data retrieval, and improves operational efficiency at CV. Arkha Karunia Utama. Keywords: Information System, Inventory, Stock Recording, Web-Based System, Waterfall Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong perusahaan untuk beralih dari sistem pencatatan manual ke sistem terkomputerisasi guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pengelolaan data. CV. Arkha Karunia Utama merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang penjualan produk kecantikan dan masih melakukan pencatatan stok barang secara manual serta menggunakan spreadsheet, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan pencatatan, ketidaksesuaian data, duplikasi data, dan keterlambatan penyusunan laporan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi pencatatan stok barang berbasis web guna meminimalkan kesalahan pencatatan serta meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan stok barang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode Waterfall yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan sistem. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL serta menerapkan algoritma FIFO (First In First Out), algoritma sorting, validasi data, dan pencarian. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Black Box Testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu mengelola data barang masuk dan barang keluar secara terintegrasi, memperbarui stok secara otomatis, serta menyajikan laporan stok barang secara akurat dan realtime. Penerapan sistem ini dapat mengurangi kesalahan pencatatan, mencegah duplikasi data, mempercepat pencarian informasi, serta meningkatkan efisiensi operasional di CV. Arkha Karunia Utama.
