Abstract
This study focuses on the influence of self-control on online gambling behavior among adolescents in Cengkareng District. A problem encountered is the increasing number of online gambling users every year. Cengkareng District is the area with the most online gamblers in Indonesia. During the pre-research survey, it was found that online gamblers in Cengkareng District cover all groups, with adolescents being the group with the most online gamblers. This study uses the theory of Online Gambling Disorder (King et al., 2022) and the theory of Self-Control (Thalib, 2010). This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a questionnaire as the data collection technique. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a sample of 96 respondents obtained from calculations using the Cochran formula with a 10% error rate. Data testing in this study uses validity and reliability tests, while data analysis uses normality tests, linearity tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and hypothesis testing. It can be seen from the correlation test that there is a positive relationship between self-control and online gambling behavior with a value of r = 0.296, then in the regression test it is known that the self-control variable has a positive influence on online gambling behavior with a correlation value of 0.374, meaning that for every one unit increase in self-control, online gambling behavior will also increase by 0.648. The results show that self-control influences online gambling behavior among adolescents in Cengkareng District. The higher the self-control that adolescents have, the lower the online gambling behavior among adolescents, and vice versa. Keywords: Self-Control and Online Gambling Penelitian ini berfokus pada Pengaruh Kontrol Diri Terhadap Perilaku Judi Online Pada Kalangan Remaja di Kecamatan Cengkareng. Terdapat permasalahan yang ditemui yaitu pengguna judi online semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya. Kecamatan Cengkareng menjadi daerah dengan pemain judi online terbanyak di Indonesia. Saat dilakukan survei pra-penelitian, didapati bahwa pemain judi online di Kecamatan Cengkareng mencakup semua kalangan, dan kalangan remaja menjadi kalangan dengan pemain judi online terbanyak. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Online Gambling Disorder King, et al (2022) dan teori Kontrol Diri Thalib (2010). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 96 responden yang didapat dari perhitungan menggunakan rumus Cochran dengan tingkat kesalahan 10%. Pengujian data penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji liniearitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heteroskedastisitas, dan uji hipotesis. Dapat diketahui pada uji korelasi terdapat hubungan positif antara kontrol diri dan perilaku judi online dengan nilai r=0,296, lalu pada uji regresi diketahui variabel kontrol diri memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap perilaku judi online dengan nilai korelasi 0,374, artinya, setiap kenaikan satu satuan pada kontrol diri, perilaku judi online juga akan meningkat sebesar 0,648. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, Kontrol diri berpengaruh terhadap perilaku judi online pada kalangan remaja di Kecamatan Cengkareng. Semakin tinggi kontrol diri yang dimiliki remaja, maka semakin rendah perilaku judi online pada kalangan remaja, dan sebaliknya. Kata Kunci: Kontrol Diri dan Judi Online
