Abstract

This research seeks to explore the connection between academic persistence and self-efficacy in relation to career choices among vocational high school students in Indonesia. The importance of this research lies in the fact that academic persistence can enhance students' self-efficacy regarding career selection; additionally, this study aims to address the existing research gap by linking academic persistence with self-efficacy in career choices. This research employs Pearson correlation analysis. The tools employed in this research are the Academic Persistence Scale (APS) and the Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF), administered via questionnaires to a sample of 111 individuals. The subjects of this research are vocational high school students in DKI Jakarta from different fields of study. The results of this research indicate that there is a connection between self-efficacy and academic persistence in the career choices of vocational high school students Keywords : Academic Persistence, Career Decisions, Self Efficacy, Vocational High School Students, Vocational education Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara persistensi akademik dengan efikasi diri terhadap pemilihan karir siswa SMK di Indonesia. Urgensi Penelitian adalah persistensi akademik memiliki faktor untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa dalam pemilihan karir, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat mengisi kesenjangan riset degan menghubungkan persistensi akademik dan Efikasi diri dalam pemilihan karir. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasional pearson.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Academic Persistence Scale (APS) dan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF) yang disebarkan melalui kuesioner dengan perolehan sampel 111. Kriteria penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK di DKI Jakarta dengan berbagai jurusan. Temuan Penelitian ini menyatakan terdapat hubungan antara persistensi akademik dengan Efikasi diri dalam pemilihan karir bagi siswa SMK. Kata Kunci : Persistensi Akademik, Pemilihan karir, self-efficacy, Efikasi diri, Siswa SMK, Pendidikan Vokasi.
