Abstract
The mining industry faces a persistent implementation gap between corporate environmental policies and their operational execution, posing challenges to achieving long-term sustainability. This study investigates the effects of Green Leadership, Green Innovation, and Green Organizational Culture on Organizational Sustainability, with Employee Green Behavior as a mediating variable, in the context of PT Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP Mining), one of Indonesia’s leading mining contractors. A quantitative approach was applied, collecting survey data from 424 employees between January and April 2025. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that Green Organizational Culture exerts the strongest direct influence on Organizational Sustainability, followed by Green Innovation and Green Leadership. Mediation analysis indicates that Employee Green Behavior significantly mediates the relationships between Green Innovation and Organizational Sustainability, as well as between Green Organizational Culture and Organizational Sustainability, but not between Green Leadership and Organizational Sustainability. These findings advance sustainability scholarship by empirically validating the behavioral mediation pathway in environmentally intensive sectors and by clarifying the relative influence of leadership, innovation, and cultural factors. The study offers practical guidance for mining companies seeking to embed sustainability within daily operations, recommending leadership programs that actively shape employee behavior, targeted investments in clean technologies, and cultural alignment to reinforce green practices. Such strategies align with Indonesia’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and present a scalable model for industrial green transformation. Industri pertambangan menghadapi kesenjangan implementasi yang persisten antara kebijakan lingkungan perusahaan dan pelaksanaannya di tingkat operasional, yang menjadi tantangan dalam mencapai keberlanjutan jangka panjang. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh Green Leadership, Green Innovation, dan Green Organizational Culture terhadap Organizational Sustainability, dengan Employee Green Behavior sebagai variabel mediasi, dalam konteks PT Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP Mining), salah satu kontraktor pertambangan terkemuka di Indonesia. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan mengumpulkan data survei dari 424 karyawan pada periode Januari hingga April 2025. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLSSEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Green Organizational Culture memiliki pengaruh langsung terkuat terhadap Organizational Sustainability, diikuti oleh Green Innovation dan Green Leadership. Analisis mediasi mengungkapkan bahwa Employee Green Behavior memediasi secara signifikan hubungan antara Green Innovation dan Organizational Sustainability, serta antara Green Organizational Culture dan Organizational Sustainability, namun tidak memediasi hubungan antara Green Leadership dan Organizational Sustainability. Temuan ini memperkaya kajian akademik keberlanjutan dengan memberikan validasi empiris terhadap jalur mediasi perilaku di sektor dengan intensitas lingkungan tinggi, sekaligus memperjelas pengaruh relatif dari faktor kepemimpinan, inovasi, dan budaya. Secara praktis, penelitian ini memberikan panduan bagi perusahaan pertambangan untuk mengintegrasikan keberlanjutan dalam operasi harian melalui program kepemimpinan yang membentuk perilaku karyawan, investasi terarah pada teknologi bersih, dan penyelarasan budaya untuk memperkuat praktik hijau. Strategi ini selaras dengan komitmen Indonesia terhadap Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) dan menawarkan model transformasi hijau yang dapat direplikasi di sektor industri lainnya.
