Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the influence of competency certification, work experience, and work motivation on construction workers' performance, as well as the mediating role of work motivation in these relationships. Using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) and Importance Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) methods, this study analyzed data collected from construction workers in various construction projects in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that competency certification has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Work experience was also found to have a significant effect on work motivation and worker performance. In addition, work motivation is found to have a significant influence on worker performance and mediates the relationship between competency certification and worker performance as well as between work experience and worker performance. These findings indicate the importance of competency certification programs, work experience enrichment, and increased work motivation in an effort to improve construction workers' performance. Practical recommendations for management include developing certification programs, increasing work experience, providing clear career paths, and improving working conditions. Keywords: Competency Certification, Work Experience, Work Motivation, Worker Performance, SEM-PLS, IPMA, Construction Project Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh sertifikasi kompetensi, pengalaman kerja, dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pekerja konstruksi, serta peran mediasi motivasi kerja dalam hubungan-hubungan tersebut. Menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) dan Importance Performance Map Analysis (IPMA), penelitian ini menganalisis data yang dikumpulkan dari pekerja konstruksi di berbagai proyek konstruksi di Indonesia. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi kompetensi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja. Pengalaman kerja juga terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja dan kinerja pekerja. Selain itu, motivasi kerja ditemukan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pekerja dan memediasi hubungan antara sertifikasi kompetensi dan kinerja pekerja serta antara pengalaman kerja dan kinerja pekerja. Temuan ini mengindikasikan pentingnya program sertifikasi kompetensi, pengayaan pengalaman kerja, dan peningkatan motivasi kerja dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja pekerja konstruksi. Rekomendasi praktis untuk manajemen meliputi pengembangan program sertifikasi, peningkatan pengalaman kerja, penyediaan jalur karir yang jelas, dan perbaikan kondisi kerja.
