Abstract

This research aims to analyze the planned flood discharge in the Way Besai watershed, considering changes in land use in 2018 and 2022. The variables studied include planned rainfall, flood discharge hydrographs, as well as concentration time and peak flow. The data used consists of 14 years of historical rainfall and land use data for the study period. The sampling technique involves processing historical rainfall data and statistical analysis using log pearson type III distribution. The data analysis method used is the synthetic unit hydrograph (HSS) Nakayasu method for calculating flood discharge hydrographs. It was found that changes in land use resulted in an increase in the runoff coefficient (C), which impacts the increase in discharge generated. The peak increase in flood discharge occurred between 2018 and 2022, with an average increase reaching 5.166 m³/s, representing a percentage increase of 13.21%. Additionally, there was an increase in flood discharge due to changes in land use in 2022. These changes have the potential to increase flood risk in the Way Besai watershed area. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of sustainable land use management to control flood discharge and minimize flood risk in the region. Keywords: Way Besai Watershed, Land Use, Runoff Coefficient, Flood Discharge Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis debit banjir rencana di DAS Way Besai dengan mempertimbangkan perubahan tata guna lahan pada tahun 2018 dan 2022. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi curah hujan rencana, hidrograf debit banjir, serta waktu konsentrasi dan puncak aliran. Data yang digunakan adalah curah hujan historis sebanyak 14 tahun dan data tata guna lahan pada periode penelitian. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan pengolahan data historis hujan dan analisis statistik distribusi log pearson tipe III. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode hidrograf satuan sintetis (HSS) Nakayasu untuk perhitungan hidrograf debit banjir. Ditemukan bahwa perubahan dalam penggunaan lahan menyebabkan peningkatan nilai koefisien pengaliran (C), yang berdampak pada peningkatan debit yang dihasilkan. Puncak peningkatan debit banjir terjadi antara tahun 2018 hingga 2022, dengan rata-rata kenaikan mencapai 5,166 m³/detik dengan persentase 13,21%. dan terjadi peningkatan debit banjir akibat perubahan tata guna lahan pada tahun 2022. Perubahan tersebut berpotensi meningkatkan risiko banjir di wilayah DAS Way Besai. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pengelolaan tata guna lahan yang berkelanjutan untuk mengendalikan debit banjir dan meminimalisasi risiko banjir di daerah tersebut.
