Abstract

Along with the rapid population growth and educational activities in Tangerang City, the volume of vehicles around school areas continues to increase. This condition affects traffic performance, especially on Jalan Raya Cipondoh and the signalized intersection (APILL) at Jalan Wijaya Kusuma. This study aims to analyze the influence of schools on the performance of road sections and signalized intersections, as well as to provide alternative solutions for improving their performance. The method used includes field surveys with traffic counting and calculations based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023). The analysis results show that the existence of schools leads to an increase in the degree of saturation, vehicle queue lengths, and average delays during peak hours. Under existing conditions, the degree of saturation and delays fall into a low service level category. The proposed alternatives include adjusting traffic light phase times, optimizing approach geometry. By implementing these alternatives, the performance of road sections and signalized intersections is expected to improve, thus reducing traffic congestion in school areas. Seiring dengan pesatnya pertumbuhan penduduk dan aktivitas pendidikan di Kota Tangerang, volume kendaraan di sekitar kawasan sekolah semakin meningkat. Kondisi ini berdampak pada kinerja lalu lintas, khususnya di ruas Jalan Raya Cipondoh dan simpang bersinyal (APILL) Jalan Wijaya Kusuma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh keberadaan sekolah terhadap kinerja ruas jalan dan simpang bersinyal serta memberikan alternatif solusi untuk perbaikan kinerjanya. Metode yang digunakan berupa survei lapangan dengan traffic counting dan perhitungan mengacu pada Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI 2023). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan sekolah berdampak pada meningkatnya derajat kejenuhan, panjang antrean kendaraan, dan tundaan rata-rata pada jam sibuk. Pada kondisi eksisting, derajat kejenuhan dan tundaan masuk dalam kategori pelayanan jalan yang kurang baik. Alternatif solusi yang disusun meliputi penyesuaian waktu fase lampu lalu lintas, optimalisasi geometri pendekat. Dengan diterapkannya alternatif tersebut, kinerja ruas jalan dan simpang bersinyal diharapkan dapat meningkat sehingga kemacetan di kawasan sekolah dapat diminimalisir.
