Abstract
The telecommunications sub-sector is one of the developing sub-sectors and contributes significantly to Indonesia's economic growth. However, the profit growth of companies in this sub-sector fluctuated throughout the 2019–2023 period. This study aims to analyze the effect of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, and Company Size on profit growth. The research design is a causality study. The population in this study is the telecommunications sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019–2023, totaling 23 companies. The sample selection used the Purposive Sampling method and obtained 17 companies. In this study, the data analysis method used panel data regression analysis using Eviews 13 software. The results showed that Current Ratio had no effect on profit growth, Debt to Equity Ratio had a positive effect on profit growth, Total Asset Turnover had a negative effect on profit growth, and Company Size had no effect on profit growth. This research is expected to be a consideration for companies and investors in managing and analyzing factors that influence the financial performance of the telecommunications sub-sector. Sub sektor telekomunikasi merupakan salah satu sub sektor yang berkembang dan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia. Namun, pertumbuhan laba perusahaan-perusahaan dalam sub sektor ini mengalami fluktuasi sepanjang periode 2019–2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Total Asset Turnover dan Ukuran Perusahaan terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kausalitas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sub sektor telekomunikasi yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2019-2023 yang berjumlah 23 perusahaan. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling dan di dapatkan 17 perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini metode analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi data panel menggunakan software Eviews 13. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Current Ratio tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan laba, Debt to Equity Ratio berpengaruh positif terhadap pertumbuhan laba, Total Asset Turnover berpengaruh negatif terhadap pertumbuhan laba dan Ukuran Perusahaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pertimbangan bagi perusahaan dan investor dalam mengelola dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja keuangan sub sektor telekomunikasi.
