Abstract
The agricultural sector is one of the strategic sectors that contributes significantly to Indonesia's economic resilience and food security. However, the profit growth of companies in this sector fluctuated during the 2019–2023 period. This study aims to analyze the effect of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Total Asset Turnover , and Return on Assets on profit growth. The research design used is a causality study. The population in this study consisted of 46 agricultural sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019–2023. A total of 15 companies were selected using the purposive sampling method. The data were analyzed using panel data regression with the help of Eviews 13 software. The results indicate that Current Ratio and Total Asset Turnover have no significant effect on profit growth, while Debt to Equity Ratio and Return on Assets have a positive and significant effect. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for companies and investors in evaluating financial strategies to support sustainable profit growth in the agricultural sector. Sektor pertanian merupakan salah satu sektor strategis yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap ketahanan ekonomi dan pangan nasional. Namun, pertumbuhan laba perusahaan pada sektor ini mengalami fluktuasi selama periode 2019–2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, dan Return on Assets terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kausalitas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 46 perusahaan sektor pertanian yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama tahun 2019–2023. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 15 perusahaan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Eviews 13. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Current Ratio dan Total Asset Turnover tidak berpengaruh signifikan, sedangkan Debt to Equity Ratio dan Return on Assets berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi perusahaan dan investor dalam mengevaluasi strategi keuangan yang mendukung pertumbuhan laba berkelanjutan di sektor pertanian.
