Abstract
The Alam Sutera area has experienced rapid development, leading to the need for public spaces beneficial to the community. In an effort to meet this need, this project focuses on the architectural design of the Sport Center in Alam Sutera, by redesigning the Alam Sutera Sport Center into a community hub equipped with various sports and social facilities. This Sport Center has been redesigned to enhance the quality and quantity of facilities that can support local community activities by providing sports facilities, recreational spaces, and social activities. A tropical architectural approach has been implemented to ensure a design responsive to the local climate, taking into account sun orientation, natural ventilation, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. The application of tropical architectural principles is expected to create a comfortable, energyefficient, and sustainable space. The planned facilities include indoor and outdoor fields, recreational areas, and multifunctional spaces for the general public that can be rented for events, aimed at enhancing the identity of the building and strengthening the community. In addition to meeting sports and social needs, the Sport Center in Alam Sutera is expected to positively influence the development of local sports, especially for the surrounding community, through increased activity and interaction. This project aims not only to create a physically harmonious space but also to address the challenges of modernization while preserving traditional values. With the right architectural approach, the redesign of the Sport Center is expected to serve as an example for the development of friendly and sustainable public spaces that provide real benefits to the local community. Area Alam Sutera telah mengalami perkembangan pesat yang memunculkan kebutuhan akan ruang publik yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan ini, proyek ini berfokus pada desain arsitektur Sport Center di Alam Sutera, dengan meredesain Sport Center Alam Sutera menjadi pusat komunitas dengan berbagai fasilitas olahraga dan sosial. Sport Center ini dirancang ulang untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas fasilitas yang dapat mendukung aktivitas masyarakat lokal melalui penyediaan fasilitas olahraga, ruang rekreasi, dan kegiatan sosial. Pendekatan arsitektur tropis diterapkan untuk memastikan desain yang responsif terhadap iklim lokal, dengan mempertimbangkan orientasi matahari, ventilasi alami, dan penggunaan bahan ramah lingkungan. Penerapan prinsipprinsip arsitektur tropis diharapkan dapat menciptakan ruang yang nyaman, efisien energi, dan berkelanjutan. Fasilitas yang direncanakan meliputi lapangan dalam ruangan, lapangan luar ruangan, area rekreasi, dan ruang multifungsi untuk masyarakat umum yang dapat disewa untuk acara, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan identitas bangunan dan memperkuat komunitas. Selain memenuhi kebutuhan olahraga dan sosial, Sport Center di Alam Sutera diharapkan dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap perkembangan olahraga lokal, terutama bagi masyarakat sekitar lokasi, melalui peningkatan aktivitas dan interaksi komunitas. Proyek ini bertujuan tidak hanya untuk menciptakan ruang yang harmonis secara fisik tetapi juga untuk mengatasi tantangan modernisasi sekaligus menjaga nilai-nilai tradisional. Dengan pendekatan arsitektur yang tepat, desain ulang Sport Center diharapkan dapat menjadi contoh untuk pengembangan ruang publik yang ramah dan berkelanjutan yang memberikan manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat sekitar.
