Abstract
Adolescents with physical disabilities in their legs face psychosocial challenges that can affect their self-acceptance process. This study aims to describe the process of self-acceptance among adolescents with physical disabilities in their legs and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving four participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation in the form of daily journals, and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results indicate that self-acceptance is a gradual and unique process for each individual, influenced by the onset time of the disability, family support, and coping strategies used. Supporting factors include emotional support from family, personal skill development, and inspiration from positive role models, while inhibiting factors consist of social stigma and lack of peer support. These findings highlight that self-acceptance among adolescents with physical disabilities is a dynamic process shaped by the interaction of personal, social, and environmental factors. Keywords: self-acceptance, physical disability, adolescents, social support Remaja penyandang disabilitas fisik pada kaki menghadapi tantangan psikososial yang dapat mempengaruhi proses penerimaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan proses penerimaan diri pada remaja penyandang disabilitas fisik pada kaki serta mengidentisikasi factor yang mendukung dan menghambatnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan empat partisipan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi berupa buku harian, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penerimaan diri berlangsung secara bertahap dan unik pada setiap individu, dipengaruhi oleh waktu terjadinya disabilitas, dukungan keluarga, serta strategi koping yang digunakan. Faktor pendukung penerimaan diri meliputi dukungan emosional keluarga, pengembangan potensi diri, dan inspirasi dari figur positif, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah stigma sosial dan minimnya dukungan teman sebaya. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerimaan diri pada remaja penyandang disabilitas fisik merupakan proses dinamis yang dipengaruhi oleh interaksi faktor personal, sosial, dan lingkungan.
