Abstract

Pada penelitian ini, resiliensi pasangan diartikan sebagai kemampuan pasangan yang menikah jarak jauh dalam menghadapi dan mengatasi tantangan yang timbul dari pernikahan jarak jauh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan antara intimasi dan intention of infidelity dengan resiliensi pasangan yang sudah menikah tapi terpisah oleh jarak dan waktu. Sering kali, keintiman ini dijadikan pondasi yang penting untuk menjaga kedekatan secara emosional. Padahal, intention of infidelity akan menjadi sebuah ancaman dalam menjaga hubungan pernikahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dari 153 responden yang sedang menjalani pernikahan yang berjarak jauh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intimasi perceived memiliki hubungan positif dengan perilaku resiliensi positif, serta hubungan negatif dengan perilaku resiliensi negatif. Sebaliknya, intimasi expected tidak memiliki hubungan dengan resiliensi positif, namun menunjukkan hubungan positif dengan perilaku resiliensi negatif. Selain itu, intention of infidelity memiliki hubungan positif terhadap kedua bentuk perilaku resiliensi, yang menunjukkan adanya respons adaptif dan maladaptif yang muncul secara bersamaan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi langsung terhadap keintiman memiliki korelasi lebih kuat dibandingkan harapan semata. Intensi perselingkuhan mencerminkan dinamika emosional yang kompleks yang dapat memperkuat atau justru mengganggu ketahanan hubungan pasangan LDM.In this study, couple resilience is defined as the ability of long-distance married couples to face and overcome challenges from a temporal separation. This research aims to examine the relationship between intimacy and intention of infidelity, with the resilience of couples who are married but separated by distance and time. Intimacy is often considered a crucial foundation for maintaining emotional closeness in a relationship. However, intention of infidelity can be a significant threat to the stability of such marriages. This study gathered from a quantitative approach involving 153 respondents that are currently in a long-distance marriage. The findings revealed that perceived intimacy is positively associated with positive resilience behaviors and negatively associated with negative resilience behaviors. In contrast, expected intimacy showed no relationship with positive resilience, but a positive correlation with negative resilience behaviors. Furthermore, intention of infidelity demonstrated a positive relationship with both positive and negative forms of resilience behaviors, indicating the emergence of both adaptive and maladaptive responses. These results suggest that the actual perception of emotional closeness plays a stronger role in supporting relationship resilience than mere expectations. Intention of infidelity reflects complex emotional dynamics that can either strengthen or weaken the resilience of couples in long-distance marriages.
