Abstract

This research aims to analyze and redesign the archiving business process at the Ministry of Industry to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the digital archive management system. The research adopts a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, allowing the researcher to explore the problems in depth through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The main issues identified include limited employee skills in using the digital archiving system, complex input procedures, non-standard document formats, frequent server disruptions, and unstable internet connections. To systematically identify root causes, the Fishbone Diagram method was applied, while the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach was used to design improved business processes. The findings indicate that the core weaknesses lie in human resources and technological infrastructure. The proposed improvements involve employee training, document format standardization, infrastructure enhancement, and simplification of the workflow for more responsive and efficient archive management. This research is expected to serve as a reference for developing a more effective digital archiving system that supports modern and transparent government administration. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan merancang ulang proses bisnis pengarsipan di Kementerian Perindustrian guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas sistem pengelolaan arsip digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yang memungkinkan peneliti untuk memahami permasalahan secara mendalam melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kelemahan utama terletak pada aspek sumber daya manusia dan infrastruktur teknologi. Upaya perbaikan meliputi pelatihan pegawai, standarisasi format dokumen, penguatan infrastruktur teknologi, serta perbaikan alur kerja sistem pengarsipan agar lebih sederhana, cepat, dan responsif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan sistem pengarsipan digital yang lebih efektif dan mendukung tata kelola pemerintahan yang modern dan transparan.
