Abstract
This study aims to identify factors that cause accidents in the molding manufacturing process, and provide recommendations for improving the work system to increase operator safety. This study was conducted in a molding manufacturing industry that uses conventional machines such as lathe, horizontal milling, cutting wheel) and unconventional machines (Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM)). Work accident data for the last nine months shows a total of 567 cases, with the highest incidents being punctured chips (251 cases) and exposed to hot chips (147 cases). This study uses Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Ovako Working Posture Analysis System (OWAS) methods to analyze the risk of work accidents and ergonomic problems experienced by machining operators. Observations showed that operator negligence, lack of understanding of safety procedures, and non-optimal use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are factors that cause accidents. In addition, non-ideal work postures can cause musculoskeletal disorders. Recommendations for improvement include safety training, increased use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and implementation of occupational accident risk management. Implementation of these recommendations is expected to reduce the number of work accidents and improve work safety for molding operators in machining. Keywords: Job Safety Analysis, work safety, work risk, ergonomics Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan dalam proses pembuatan moulding, dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan sistem kerja untuk meningkatkan keselamatan pada operator. Penelitian ini dilakukan di industri pembuantan moulding yang menggunakan mesin konvensional seperti mesin bubut, milling horizontal, cutting wheel dan mesin nonkonvensional (Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM)). Data kecelakaan kerja selama sembilan bulan terakhir menunjukan total 567 kasus, dengan insiden tertinggi yaitu tertusuk chips (251 kasus) dan terkena chips panas (147 kasus). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Job Safety Analysis (JSA) dan Ovako Working Posture Analysis System (OWAS) untuk menganalisis risiko kecelakaan kerja dan permasalahan ergonomi yang dialami pada operator machining. Hasil observasi menunjukan bahwa kelalaian operator, kurangnya pemahaman prosedur keselamatan, dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) yang belum optimal menjadi faktor penyebab kecelakaan. Selain itu, postur kerja yang tidak ideal dapat menyebabkan gangguan musculoskeletal. Rekomendasi perbaikan meliputi pelatihan keselamatan kerja, peningkatan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), dan penerapan manajemen risiko kecelakaan kerja. Implementasi rekomendasi ini diharapkan dapat menurunkan angka kecelakaan kerja dan meningkatkan keselamatan kerja pada operator pembuatan moulding di machining Kata Kunci: Job Safety Analysis, keselamatan kerja, risiko kerja, ergonomi.
