Abstract
Perkembangan industri kecantikan mendorong lahirnya inovasi produk yang tidak hanya mempercantik, tetapi juga merawat kulit, salah satunya adalah hybrid makeup. Namun, minimnya pemahaman konsumen muda, khususnya perempuan usia 20–25 tahun, terhadap konsep ini menimbulkan keraguan dalam memilih produk. Perancangan buku infografis "Innovating Beauty: Introduction to Hybrid Makeup” ini bertujuan sebagai media edukasi visual yang informatif dan menarik untuk meningkatkan literasi serta kepercayaan target audiens terhadap produk hybrid makeup dari Y.O.U Beauty Indonesia. Dengan pendekatan design thinking, buku ini dikembangkan melalui proses empati, definisi masalah, ideasi, prototyping, dan pengujian kepada target pengguna. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa media buku infografis cetak dengan gaya visual ringan dan bahasa komunikatif mampu menjembatani kebutuhan edukasi dan preferensi visual target. Buku ini diharapkan menjadi kontribusi nyata dalam memperkuat edukasi konsumen dan positioning Y.O.U Beauty sebagai brand lokal inovatif dalam dunia kecantikan modern.The development of the beauty industry has driven the emergence of innovative products that not only enhance appearance but also provide skincare benefits, one of which is hybrid makeup. However, the limited understanding of this concept among young consumers, particularly women aged 20–25, often leads to doubt and hesitation when choosing products. The infographic book "Innovating Beauty: Introduction to Hybrid Makeup" is designed as an informative and visually engaging educational medium to improve literacy and build trust in hybrid makeup products from Y.O.U Beauty Indonesia. Using a design thinking approach, this book was developed through the stages of empathizing, defining the problem, ideating, prototyping, and testing with the target audience. The design outcomes show that a printed infographic book with a light visual style and conversational language is effective in bridging educational needs and the visual preferences of the target audience. This book is expected to contribute to strengthening consumer understanding while supporting Y.O.U Beauty’s positioning as an innovative local brand in the modern beauty industry.
