Abstract

This study aims to analyze product defects in Tube and Hose components to improve production quality at PT Denso Manufaktur by implementing the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) method. The main problems identified include a high defect rate and several customer claims during the January–March 2025 period, which have negatively impacted product quality and customer trust. This quantitative research uses both primary and secondary data, including production quantities, types of product defects, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) evaluations. The analysis begins with problem identification using check sheets, CTQ, and SIPOC, followed by measurement using P-Control Charts and DPMO calculations to determine the sigma level. Root cause analysis is conducted through Pareto and fishbone diagrams, and improvement priorities are determined using FMEA and the 5W+1H method. The results indicate that the most dominant defects are Tube Scratch, No Stamping, and No Marking, primarily caused by non-standard jigs/tools and human error. Recommended improvements include jig standardization, operator training, and strengthened SOP implementation. The application of the DMAIC method has proven effective in guiding systematic improvements, reducing product defects, and enhancing the efficiency and quality of Tube and Hose production. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis cacat produk Tube & Hose guna meningkatkan kualitas produksi di PT Denso Manufaktur dengan menerapkan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi adalah tingginya tingkat cacat dan adanya claim customer selama periode Januari–Maret 2025, yang berpengaruh pada penurunan kualitas dan kepercayaan pelanggan. Metode penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif, menggunakan data primer dan sekunder berupa jumlah produksi, jenis cacat produk, serta data evaluasi Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Proses analisis dimulai dengan identifikasi masalah menggunakan check sheet, CTQ, dan SIPOC, kemudian pengukuran melalui Peta Kendali P dan perhitungan DPMO untuk mengetahui level sigma. Selanjutnya, dilakukan analisis akar penyebab cacat dengan diagram Pareto dan fishbone, serta penentuan prioritas perbaikan dengan metode FMEA dan 5W+1H. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis cacat dominan adalah Tube Scratch, No Stamping, dan No Marking, yang sebagian besar disebabkan oleh jig/tools yang tidak standar dan kesalahan manusia. Rekomendasi perbaikan mencakup standarisasi jig, pelatihan operator, dan penguatan SOP. Penerapan metode DMAIC terbukti mampu mengarahkan perbaikan secara sistematis, menurunkan jumlah cacat, dan meningkatkan efisiensi serta kualitas produksi Tube & Hose.
