Abstract
The manufacturing sector, especially the Containers & Packaging sub-sector, plays an important role in economic growth. Issues such as reducing the use of plastic and styrofoam certainly have an impact. Although the distribution of the sector increased, ROA decreased. This study aims to determine the effect of liquidity, activity solvency, and sales growth on profitability. The research design is causality research. The study population includes container & packaging sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018-2023, using a total of 8 companies. The sample was taken using the saturated sampling method, so that all 8 companies were used as samples. The research analysis was carried out using the panel data regression method and after testing the best model was CEM. The results showed that Debt to Equity Ratio had a negative effect on Return On Assets. Total Asset Turnover had a positive effect on Return On Assets. Current Ratio and Sales Growth had no effect on Return On Assets. Keywords: liquidity, solvability, activity, sales growth, profitability, container & packaging. Sektor manufaktur, khususnya sub-sektor Containers & Packaging, berperan penting dipertumbuhan ekonomi. Adanya isu seperti pengurangan penggunaan plastik dan sterefoam tentunya memiliki dampak. Meskipun distribusi sektor meningkat, ROA mengalami penurunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh likuiditas, solvabilitas aktivitas, dan sales growth terhadap profitabilitas. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kausalitas. Populasi penelitian meliputi perusahaan subsektor container & packaging yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama tahun 2018-2023, menggunakan total 8 perusahaan. Sampel diambil menggunakan metode sampel jenuh, sehingga seluruh 8 perusahaan tersebut dijadikan sampel. Analisis penelitian dilakukan menggunkan metode regresi data panel dan setelah diuji model terbaik adalah CEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Debt to Equity Ratio berpengaruh negatif terhadap Return On Assets. Total Asset Turnover berpengaruh positif terhadap Return On Assets. Current Ratio dan Sales Growth tidak berpengaruh terhadap Return On Assets. Kata Kunci: likuiditas, solvabilitas, aktivitas, sales growth, profitabilitas, container& packaging
