Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between jealousy and the resilience of long-distance married couples (LDM). This research uses quantitative correlational methods with nonprobability-sampling techniques. There were 112 respondents who were in long-distance marriages in this study. The measuring instrument used in this research was adapted from the jealousy measuring instrument from Pfeiffer & Wong (1989) with a reliability of 0.970 and a couple resilience measuring instrument from Sanford et.al (2015) with a reliability of 0.845. The results of this research show that jealousy is negatively correlated with couple resilience (0.011 < 0.05) with a negative sig value. negative and in the low category, namely based on a correlation coefficient value of -0.238. The direction of the relationship between the two variables is negative, this shows that the higher the level of jealousy, the lower the couple’s level of resilience. Conversely, the lower the level of jealousy, the higher the level of couple resilience. Keywords: Jealousy, Couple Resilience, Long Distance Marriage Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kecemburuan dan resiliensi pasangan yang menikah jarak jauh (LDM). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik nonprobabilitysampling. Terdapat sebanyak 112 responden yang menjalani pernikahan jarak jauh dalam penelitian ini. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini diadaptasi dari alat ukur kecemburuan dari Pfeiffer & Wong (1989) dengan realibilitas 0.970 dan alat ukur resiliensi pasangan dari Sanford et.al (2015) dengan realibilitas 0.845. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh bahwa kecemburuan berkorelasi negatif dengan resiliensi pasangan (0.011 < 0.05) dengan arah negatif nilai sig. Negatif dan dalam kategori rendah yaitu berdasarkan nilai correlation coefficient sebesar -0.238. Arah hubungan kedua variabel adalah negatif, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kecemburuan maka semakin rendah tingkat resiliensi pasangan. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat kecemburuan maka semakin tinggi tingkat resiliensi pasangan. Kata Kunci : Kecemburuan, Resiliensi Pasangan, Pernikahan Jarak Jauh
