Abstract

A harmonious family is characterized by the closeness of situations and conditions, the existence of various forms of affection, support, cooperation, high solidarity, and others. In families sometimes there are conflicts that cannot be avoided. Conflicts often occur in family relationships, generally arising in paternal relationships. In the movie “Ngeri - Ngeri Sedap” the father figure is found to have a patriarchal ideology. Patriarchal culture comes from the word patri-arkat, meaning a structure that places the role of men as the sole, central, and all-encompassing ruler. The patriarchal system that dominates the culture of society causes gender inequality and injustice that affects various aspects of human activities. Based on the results of the research previously described, in this study the authors took several scenes in the movie Ngeri - Ngeri Sedap to be examined, especially the problem of patriarchy that occurred in the movie Ngeri - Ngeri Sedap and the collection of screenshots in this study. Based on the types of family conflicts and characteristics of the patriarchal system that have been described in this study, it will be examined using denotation, connotation, and mythical meanings in accordance with Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. Keywords : Patriarchy, Family Conflict, OTT, Movies Dalam sebuah keluarga harmonis ditandai dengan kedekatan situasi dan kondisi, adanya berbagai bentuk kasih sayang, dukungan, kerja sama, solidaritas yang tinggi, dan lain-lain. Dalam keluarga terkadang ada konflik yang tidak bisa dihindari. Konflik sering kali terjadi dalam hubungan keluarga, pada umumnya muncul pada hubungan ayah. Dalam film “Ngeri – Ngeri Sedap” sosok ayah didapati adanya suatu ideologi patriarki. Budaya Patriarki berasal dari kata patri-arkat, berarti struktur yang menempatkan peran laki- laki sebagai penguasa tunggal, sentral, dan segala-galanya. Sistem patriarki yang mendominasi kebudayaan masyarakat menyebabkan adanya kesenjangan dan ketidakadilan gender yang mempengaruhi hingga ke berbagai aspek kegiatan manusia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dijabarkan sebelumnya, dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengambil beberapa scene di film Ngeri - Ngeri Sedap untuk di teliti, khususnya masalah tentang patriarki yang terjadi di film Ngeri - Ngeri Sedap dan kumpulan tangkapan layar yang ada di penelitian ini. Berdasarkan, jenis - jenis konflik keluarga dan karakteristik sistem patriarki yang telah di jelaskan di penelitian ini akan di teliti menggunakan pemaknaan denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos sesuai dengan teori semiotika Roland Barthes.
