Abstract
The phenomenon of using Buy Now Pay Later has become popular among the younger generation and has resulted in problems where users fail to pay off bills on time and increase the risk of poorly managed debt, so it is necessary to improve financial management behavior for the community. This study aims to examine the effect of Financial Literacy, Perception of Risk, Perception of Interest Rates, and Level of Education on the Use of Buy Now Pay Later Services for Students at DKI Jakarta Universities. The population in this study were 715,809 students at DKI Jakarta universities. The sampling method of this study used purposive sampling technique where the sample amounted to 100 respondents by calculating based on the slovin formula. This research is a type of quantitative research then the data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results prove that Financial Literacy, Risk Perception, and Education Level do not have a significant effect on the Use of Buy Now Pay Later Services, while the Perception of Interest Rates has a significant effect on the Use of Buy Now Pay Later Services. Keywords: Financial Literacy, Perception of Risk, Perception of Interest Rate, Education Level, and Use of Buy Now Pay Later Services Fenomena penggunaan Buy Now Pay Later menjadi populer di kalangan generasi muda dan menghasilkan masalah di mana para pengguna gagal melunasi tagihan tepat waktu dan meningkatkan risiko utang yang tidak terkelola dengan baik, sehingga diperlukan perbaikan perilaku manajemen keuangan untuk masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh Literasi Keuangan, Persepsi Risiko, Persepsi Tingkat Suku Bunga, dan Tingkat Pendidikan terhadap Penggunaan Layanan Buy Now Pay later pada Mahasiswa di Perguruan Tinggi DKI Jakarta. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 715.809 mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi DKI Jakarta. Metode penarikan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dimana sampel berjumlah 100 responden dengan dihitung berdasarkan rumus slovin. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif kemudian metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa Literasi Keuangan, Persepsi Risiko, dan Tingkat Pendidikan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Penggunaan Layanan Buy Now Pay Later, sedangkan Persepsi Tingkat Suku Bunga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Penggunaan Layanan Buy Now Pay Later.
