Abstract
This study examines the relationship between construction delays and project quality performance, exploring the role of quality standards and specifications as a mediating variable in the relationship between construction delays and project quality. The Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method is used to analyze complex relationships between variables that cannot be directly measured, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to relevant stakeholders. To identify the root causes, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) is applied, while Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is used to evaluate risks and provide improvement recommendations. The findings show that construction delays significantly affect project quality performance through quality standards and specifications as a mediator (p-value < 0.05). The RCFA analysis identifies the main causes of delays, including insufficient training, weak technical communication, and misalignment in specification changes. Meanwhile, FMEA results indicate that improvement strategies, such as budget automation, regular training, and periodic socialization, effectively reduce the Risk Priority Number (RPN) from the "high" category to "medium" or "low." This study emphasizes the importance of consistently implementing quality standards and systematically managing delay risks to enhance the efficiency and quality of construction projects in Indonesia. Keywords: Construction Delay, Project Quality, Specification Standards, SEM-PLS, RCFA, FMEA.
