Abstract

Premature damage to road surfaces often occurs before the planned service life. Road maintenance in Indonesia includes routine maintenance, rehabilitation, and capacity and structural improvements. If not repaired immediately, pavement quality will continue to decline. This study aims to identify and analyze pavement damage conditions on Teuku Umar Street – Bintaro Utama 5 Street in Bintaro Sector 7, South Tangerang, using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Surface Distress Index (SDI) methods. The PCI calculation results show an average score of 66, categorized as “Fair.” Meanwhile, the SDI calculation results indicate an average condition categorized as “Good,” with an average score of 41. This difference occurs because SDI only considers three types of damage: cracking, potholes, and rutting, so not all types of road damage are included. Therefore, the PCI method, which considers more parameters, is more effective than the SDI method. Technical treatments for the flexible pavement on Teuku Umar Street – Bintaro Utama 5 Street include P2 (Overlay) for crack line damage, P4 (Crack Sealing) for longitudinal cracks wider than 2mm, P5 (Pothole Patching) for potholes, alligator cracks, and edge cracks, and P6 (Leveling) for minor damage such as rutting, raveling, and small potholes. Keywords: Pavement Condition Index (PCI), Surface Distress Index (SDI), Road Infrastructure Maintenance, Flexible Pavement Kerusakan dini pada permukaan jalan sering kali terjadi sebelum masa umur rencana yang telah ditetapkan. Pemeliharaan jalan di Indonesia meliputi berbagai kegiatan seperti pemeliharaan rutin, rehabilitas, serta peningkatan kapasitas dan struktur jalan, jika tidak segera di perbaiki kualitas perkerasan jalan akan terus menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kondisi kerusakan perkerasan jalan di Jalan Teuku Umar - JalanBintaro Utama 5 di Bintaro Sektor 7, Tangerang Selatan. Dengan memanfaatkan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI) dan Surface Distress Index (SDI). Hasil perhitungan PCI diperoleh nilai rata-rata 66 kondisi jalan kategori “Fair”, sedangkan hasil perhitungan SDI, rata- rata kondisi jalan dikategorikan “Baik” dengan nilai rata-rata 41. Perbedaan ini disebabkan oleh ada perhitungan SDI hanya memakai tiga jenis kerusakan yaitu retak, berlubang dan rutting, sehingga tidak semua jenis kerusakan jalan dipertimbangkan. Oleh karena itu, metode PCI dengan memperhitungkan banyak parameter lebih baik daripada metode SDI. Penanganan teknis yang bisa dilakukan pada perkerasan lentur Jalan Teuku Umar – Jalan Bintaro Utama 5 adalah P2 (Pengaspalan) pada jenis kerusakan retak garis, P4 (Pengisian Retak) pada jenis kerusakan retak garis atau memanjang dengan lebar retak > 2mm, P5 (Penambalan Lubang) pada jenis kerusakan lubang, retak kulit buaya dan retak pinggir dan P6 (Perataan) pada jenis kerusakan yang ringan seperti alur, keriting dan lubang.
