Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between husband's support and the level of acceptance in mothers who have children with autism syndrome. The total number of respondents in this study was 167 mothers who had children with autism syndrome, using purpossive sampling technique. Maternal acceptance is a condition where the mother can accept the child as he is, while husband's support is the assistance given to the mother morally and materially. The measuring instrument used is the husband's support scale based on House's (1985) theory which contains 36 items, and the mother's acceptance scale which is adapted from the PARQ (parental acceptance-rejection questionnaire) with 13 items. The results of Spearman's rho correlation analysis show that there is a significant positive relationship (r = 0.181; p = 0.019 < 0.05) between husband's support and acceptance of mothers who have children with autism syndrome. These results support the hypothesis proposed in the research. Keywords: Husband's support, mother's acceptance, children with autism syndrome Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan dukungan suami terhadap tingkat penerimaan pada ibu yang memiliki anak dengan sindrom autisme. Total responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 167 ibu yang memiliki anak dengan sindrom autisme, dengan menggunakan tehnik purpossive sampling. Penerimaan Ibu adalah kondisi dimana ibu dapat menerima anak apa adanya, sedangkan Dukungan suami merupakan bantuan yang di berikan kepada ibu secara moral dan material. Alat ukur yang di gunakan pada skala dukungan suami berdasarkan teori House (1985) yang memuat 36 item, dan skala penerimaan ibu yang diadaptasi dari PARQ (parental acceptance-rejection questionnaire) dengan 13 item. Hasil analisis korelasi Spearman's rho memperlihatkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan (r = 0,181; p = 0,019 < 0,05) antara dukungan suami terhadap penerimaan ibu yang memiliki anak dengan sindrom autisme. Hasil ini mendukung hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian. Kata Kunci: Dukungan suami, penerimaan ibu, anak dengan sindrom autisme
