Abstract

Films are a form or result of the creative process of filmmakers which combines various elements such as ideas, value systems, views on life, beauty, norms, human behavior and technological sophistication. Meaning in a film is an important part or element of the film. The film "Petualangan Sherina 2" which will be released in 2023 is a sequel to the film "Adventure Sherina" which was broadcast in 2000. The aim of this research is to find out what are the signs and meanings of friendship in the film "Petualangan Sherina 2" using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory with its food triangle, namely the Triangle of Meaning. By using the constructivism paradigm through a descriptive qualitative research approach. Research method using semiotic analysis which focuses on the meaning of each sign, in the form of icons, indices and symbols. The subject of this research is a picture in the film Adventure Sherina 2. The research results show that there are signs and meanings in the Friendship message in the film Adventure Sherina 2 in 5 elements of interpersonal communication, namely initiation, willingness to listen, conflict management, selfdisclosure, and emotional support shown in verbal and non-verbal language. Keywords: Meaning, Friendship, Semiotics, Film, Charles sander Pierce Film yang merupakan bentuk atau hasil dari proses kreatif para sineas yang memadukan berbagai unsur seperti gagasan, sistem nilai, pandangan hidup, keindahan, norma, tingkah laku manusia, dan kecanggihan teknologi. Pemaknaan dalam film menjadi bagian atau unsur penting sebab film. Film "Petualangan Sherina 2" yang dirilis pada tahun 2023 adalah sekuel dari film "Petualangan Sherina" yang tayang pada tahun 2000.. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja tanda – tanda dan makna persahabatan dalam film “Petualangan Sherina 2” dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce dengan segitiga makananya yaitu Triangle of Meaning (teori segitiga makna). Dengan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme melalui tipe penelitian pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Metode penelitian dengan analisis semiotika yang memfokuskan pada makna masing-masing tanda, berupa ikon, indeks, maupun simbol. Subjek penelitian ini berupa gambar dalam film Petualangan sherina 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya tanda dan makna pada pesan Persahabatan dalam film “Petualangan Sherina 2” dalam 5 unsur komunikasi interpersonal yaitu inisiasi, sifat mau mendengarkan, manajemen konflik, pengungkapan diri, dan dukungan emosional yang ditunjukan dengan bahasa verbal maupun non verbal.
