Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) on Sustainable Firm Performance (SFP) while considering the role of Competitive Advantages (CA) as a mediating variable in companies located in Bekasi, Indonesia. The research employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to examine the relationships among GSCM, CA, and SFP. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 140 respondents working in the logistics and transportation services, construction, and manufacturing sectors in Bekasi. The analysis was conducted to evaluate the validity and reliability of the model as well as to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicate that GSCM has a positive and significant effect on CA, and CA also positively influences SFP both in the the logistics and transportation services, construction, and manufacturing sectors in Bekasi. Furthermore, GSCM positively affects SFP both directly and indirectly through CA. The R-Square value for SFP falls into the strong category, while that for CA is in the moderate category, indicating that GSCM and CA significantly contribute to the firm's performance, but the lowest score is happened in services sector due to there is still need more improve of their CA indicators. This research provides a new contribution to the literature on GSCM in Indonesia, particularly in Bekasi, by highlighting the importance of environmentally friendly practices in enhancing firm performance. The study also emphasizes the role of CA as a mediator that strengthens the relationship between GSCM and SFP, which can serve as a reference for companies in formulating sustainability strategies. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) terhadap Sustainable Firm Performance (SFP) dengan mempertimbangkan peran Competitive Advantages (CA) sebagai variabel mediasi pada perusahaan-perusahaan di Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) untuk menguji hubungan antara GSCM, CA, dan SFP. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 140 responden yang bekerja di sektor industri jasa logistik, transportasi, konstruksi, dan manufaktur di Bekasi. Analisis dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi validitas dan reliabilitas model serta untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa GSCM berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap CA, dan CA juga berpengaruh positif terhadap SFP baik itu pada sektor industri jasa logistik dan transportasi, sektor konstruksi dan juga sektor manufaktur. Selain itu, GSCM memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap SFP baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui CA. Nilai R-Square untuk SFP berada dalam kategori kuat, sedangkan untuk CA berada dalam kategori moderat, menunjukkan bahwa GSCM dan CA berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan, namun hasil pengaruh terendah terjadi pada sektor jasa karena masih banyak indikator CA pada jasa yang perlu diperbaiki lagi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru dalam literatur mengenai GSCM di Indonesia, khususnya di Bekasi, dengan menyoroti pentingnya praktik ramah lingkungan dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini juga menekankan peran CA sebagai mediator yang memperkuat hubungan antara GSCM dan SFP, yang dapat menjadi acuan bagi perusahaan dalam merumuskan strategi keberlanjutan.
