Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fatherless dan pemaafan dengan penerimaan diri pada dewasa awal yang orang tuanya bercerai. Penelitian menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dengan data dari 163 partisipan laki-laki dan perempuan, berusia 21 hingga 30 tahun (SD = 1.92, M = 24.67). Data yang dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner online dengan item-item yang berasal dari tiga alat ukur atau skala yang telah diadaptasi dengan cara menerjemahkan item-item skala dari bahasa inggris ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Penerimaan diri diukur dengan menggunakan 20 item Unconditional Self Acceptance Qustionnaire (USAQ) dari Camberlain dan Haaga (2001). The Father Presence Questionnaire (FPQ) (2 dimensi, 44 item) digunakan untuk mengukur fatherless dan 18 item The Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS) untuk mengukur pemaafan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan 1) terdapat hubungan yang positif yang signifikan antara fatherless dan penerimaan diri, 2) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara pemaafan dan penerimaan diri pada dewasa awal yang orang tuanya bercerai. Uji korelasi antar dimensi variabel fatherless dan pemaafan juga menunjukan korelasi secara signifikan dengan dimensi penerimaan diri. This study aims to determine the relationship between fatherlessness and forgiveness with self-acceptance in early adults whose parents divorced. This study was conucted using dta from 163 participants, aged 21 to 30 years (SD =1.92, M = 24.67). Data were collected through on online questionnaire with items derived from three measurement tools or scales that have been adapted by translating the scale items from English into Indonesian. Self-acceptance was measured using the 20-item Unconditional Self Accpetance Questionnaire (USAQ) from Chamberlain and Haaga (2001). The Father Presence Questionnaire (FPQ) (2 idmensions, 44 items) was used to measure fatherlessness and 18 items of The Heartland Forgiveness Sclae (HFS) to measure forgiveness. The results of this study indicate 1) there is a significant positive relationship between fatherless and self-acceptance, 2) there is a significant positive relationship between forgiveness and self-acceptance in early adults whose parents are divorced. The correlation test between the dimensions of the fatherless variable and forgiveness also shows a significant correlation with the dimensions of self acceptance.
