Abstract
This research aims to analyze the influence of self-regulation on the interpersonal relationships between students completing their thesis and their academic advisors. Motivated by the common phenomenon of students' difficulties in thesis completion, this research uses a quantitative approach that tests the hypothesis of a significant influence between self-regulation (independent variable) and interpersonal relationships (dependent variable). A total of 229 final-year students from Mercu Buana University participated in this research, with a non-probability sampling technique through accidental sampling methods. Data was collected using the FIAT Q - Interpersonal Relationships Questionnaire and the Self-Regulation Scale. Data analysis used simple linear regression tests and correlation analysis between dimensions. The research results show a significant influence of self-regulation on students' interpersonal relationships with their academic advisors, shows a positive influence direction, where the higher the students' self-regulation, the higher their level of interpersonal relationships with their academic advisors, and vice versa. Keywords: Self-regulation, Interpersonal Relationships, Thesis Students, Academic Advisors Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh self-regulation terhadap hubungan interpersonal antara mahasiswa yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi dengan dosen pembimbing. Dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena umum kesulitan mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian skripsi, penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif yang menguji hipotesis adanya pengaruh signifikan antara self-regulation (variabel independen) dan hubungan interpersonal (variabel dependen). Sebanyak 229 mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Mercu Buana berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non-probability sampling melalui metode accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner FIAT Q – Interpersonal Relationships Questionnaire dan Self-Regulation Scale. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan analisis korelasi antar dimensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan self-regulation terhadap hubungan interpersonal mahasiswa dengan dosen pembimbing yang menunjukkan arah pengaruh positif, dimana semakin tinggi self-regulation mahasiswa, semakin tinggi pula tingkat hubungan interpersonalnya dengan dosen pembimbing, begitu juga sebaliknya.
