Abstract
The Indonesian Geography Museum is designed as an education and research center on geography with an ecological architecture approach. This concept aims to create a building that is sustainable, energy efficient, and provides an interactive educational experience for visitors. The choice of location in the Taman Pintar Yogyakarta area is based on its potential as an educational and tourist center, so that the museum can reach various groups, including students, academics, and tourists. The ecological architecture approach is applied through the use of environmentally friendly materials, natural lighting, cross ventilation, as well as rainwater management systems and renewable energy to support environmental sustainability. The concept also emphasizes the integration of the museum with the surrounding environment, creating green open spaces and minimizing negative impacts on the ecosystem. In addition, the application of interactive technology in the museum aims to increase the effectiveness of learning, so that visitors can understand geography concepts in a more interesting and in-depth way. By applying the principles of ecological architecture, the Indonesian Geography Museum is expected to become a model for the development of sustainable museums in Indonesia and increase public awareness of the importance of geography and the environment in everyday life.
