Abstract
Private universities must also have the right marketing strategy to gain interest from prospective students who wish to continue their studies. Apart from the factor of producing outstanding graduates, making the public know the name of the university is one way to promote themselves, one of them is Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang. But unfortunately, there are many obstacles that can be found in their buildings. One of the most crucial problems is the arrangement of space and layout in one of their tall building, as well as access in other buildings, too. This final project report aims to design the interior of the 19-floors-building of Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang into a building that has a great layouting and a decent circulation acceses to every part of their building, and also representative for their university’s images. Survey and cross-comparison among several universities were used as the methods. Then the datas were processed into listes of activity and user needs, spatial needs, element analysis, and concept analysis. And the outputs were the report, technical drawings, 3D images, and animation video. The final design produces an interior design with a ‘Contemporery Islamic Geometric’ concept; including alternatives layout, interior elements, decoration, furniture, & the final layout designs. Keywords: University, Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang, Contemporer, Geometric PTS juga harus memiliki strategi marketing yang tepat untuk mendulang minat dari calon-calon mahasiswa yang ingin melanjutkan studi. Diluar faktor mencetak lulusan-lulusan yang berprestasi, membuat khalayak ramai untuk mengenal nama universitas dalam faktor-faktor lain merupakan keharusan, salah satunya adalah Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang. Namun sayangnya banyak kendala-kendala yang dapat dijumpai pada bangunan tinggi salah satu masalah yang paling krusial adalah pengaturan ruang dan layout pada bangunan-bangunan tinggi, maupun akses di dalam gedung. Laporan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang interior gedung 19 lantai Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang menjadi gedung kuliah bersama yang efektif untuk mengatur penataan universitas pada satu gedung tinggi yang mempunyai keterbatasan lahan pada kompleksnya, dan juga menciptakan suasana interior yang representatif. Dalam penyusunan laporan ini menggunakan metode survey dan komparasi dari beberapa objek studi banding. Kemudian data-data tersebut diolah kedalam studi aktifitas dan kebutuhan pengguna, kebutuhan dan hubungan ruang, analisa elemen, analisa konsep. Dan outputnya merupakan laporan, gambar teknik, gambar 3D, dan animasi. Desain akhir menghasilkan konsep desain interior berkonsep Contemporery Islamic Geometric meliputi pengolahan layout, elemen pembentuk ruang, aspek dekorasi bentuk furniture, dan desain layout terpilih.
