Abstract

The development of telecommunication technology in Indonesia has driven the need for adequate telecommunication infrastructure, including BTS (Base Transceiver Station) towers. This study focuses on the analysis of the Self Supporting Tower (SST) structure with four legs as high as 52 meters against the influence of wind loads and installed devices using the MS. Tower V.6.20 application based on the TIA/EIA-222-G standard. The analysis includes an assessment of the stress ratio, twist angle, sway angle, displacement and reaction of the structure in existing conditions and after the addition of devices. The results show that the tower in existing condition has a stress ratio value of 0.872, twist angle of 0.0409°, angular rotation (sway) of 0.425° and deflection (displacement) of 0.1997, which are still within safe limits. However, after the addition of devices in the form of three sectoral antennas and three RRU units, the stress ratio value increased to 1.064, exceeding the safe threshold (<1), with a deflection reaching 0.2359 m. To restore the stability of the structure, reinforcement modifications were carried out in the form of adding rods to the main component (main leg), so that the stress ratio value decreased to 0.882, with the deflection reduced to 0.1862. This study proves that detailed planning and analysis of the effects of wind loads and installed devices are very important in ensuring the safety and efficiency of telecommunication tower structures. Tower V.6.20, TIA/EIA-222-G, Tower SST, Stress Ratio Perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi di Indonesia telah mendorong kebutuhan akan infrastruktur telekomunikasi yang memadai, termasuk menara BTS (Base Transceiver Station). Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis struktur menara Self Supporting Tower (SST) dengan empat kaki setinggi 52 meter terhadap pengaruh beban angin dan perangkat terpasang menggunakan aplikasi MS. Tower V.6.20 berdasarkan standar TIA/EIA-222-G. Analisis meliputi penilaian nilai rasio tegangan (stress ratio), sudut puntir (twist), rotasi angular (sway), lendutan (displacement) dan reaksi perletakan struktur dalam kondisi eksisting maupun setelah penambahan perangkat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa menara dalam kondisi eksisting memiliki nilai rasio tegangan (stress ratio) sebesar 0.872, sudut puntir (twist) 0.0409°, rotasi angular (sway) 0.425° dan lendutan (displacement) 0.1997, yang masih berada dalam batas aman. Namun, setelah penambahan perangkat berupa tiga antena sektoral dan tiga unit RRU, nilai rasio tegangan meningkat menjadi 1.064, melampaui ambang batas aman (<1), dengan lendutan mencapai 0,2359 m. Untuk mengembalikan stabilitas struktur, dilakukan modifikasi perkuatan berupa penambahan batang pada komponen utama (main leg), sehingga nilai rasio tegangan menurun menjadi 0.882, dengan lendutan berkurang menjadi 0.1862. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa perencanaan dan analisis mendetail terhadap pengaruh beban angin dan perangkat terpasang sangat penting dalam memastikan keamanan dan efisiensi struktur menara telekomunikasi.
