Abstract
Internal communication at Sejasa.com faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly due to the limitations on face-to-face interactions. The shift to online communication resulted in several issues, such as difficulty in delivering clear messages, reliance on technology that is not always reliable, and a decrease in interpersonal relationships among employees. These factors affected team collaboration effectiveness and overall organizational performance. This study adopts a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm and utilizes a case study method. Data was collected through both primary and secondary sources, with triangulation techniques used to ensure data validity. Data analysis included reduction, presentation, collection, and drawing conclusions. Interviews were conducted with five employees from Sejasa.com as informants. The results of the study indicate that effective internal communication between supervisors and subordinates, as well as among colleagues, plays a crucial role in enhancing employee motivation and loyalty. Programs such as regular town hall meetings and open communication between management and staff support the creation of a positive work environment. Additionally, transparent communication and recognition of individual contributions strengthen employees’ attachment to the company. The study also highlights the importance of managing communication effectively to build trust and long-term commitment from employees. However, the study also found several obstacles, such as limited communication channels between departments, suboptimal use of communication technology, and a lack of opportunities for employees to provide direct feedback. Therefore, the company needs to continually improve its internal communication system, enhance communication channels between teams, and provide technology training to streamline information flow and strengthen employee engagement. Komunikasi internal di Sejasa.com menghadapi berbagai tantangan besar selama pandemi COVID-19, terutama akibat terbatasnya interaksi langsung. Peralihan ke komunikasi daring menimbulkan beberapa masalah, seperti kesulitan dalam menyampaikan pesan dengan jelas, ketergantungan pada teknologi yang tidak selalu andal, serta berkurangnya hubungan antar karyawan. Hal ini berdampak pada produktivitas kerja tim dan kinerja organisasi secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme dan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder, serta teknik triangulasi sumber untuk memastikan keabsahan data. Analisis data melibatkan reduksi, penyajian, pengumpulan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Wawancara dilakukan dengan lima karyawan Sejasa.com sebagai informan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi internal yang berjalan dengan lancar antara atasan dan bawahan, serta antar sesama rekan kerja, sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan loyalitas karyawan. Program-program seperti town hall meeting yang rutin dilaksanakan dan komunikasi terbuka antara manajemen dan staf mendukung terciptanya lingkungan kerja yang positif. Selain itu, komunikasi yang transparan dan penghargaan terhadap kontribusi individu juga berperan dalam memperkuat keterikatan karyawan dengan perusahaan. Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya pengelolaan komunikasi yang baik untuk membangun kepercayaan dan komitmen jangka panjang dari karyawan. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa kendala, seperti terbatasnya saluran komunikasi antar departemen, penggunaan teknologi komunikasi yang belum optimal, serta kurangnya kesempatan bagi karyawan untuk memberikan umpan balik langsung. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan perlu terus meningkatkan sistem komunikasi internal, memperbaiki saluran komunikasi antar tim, serta memberikan pelatihan teknologi untuk mempermudah aliran informasi dan memperkuat keterlibatan karyawan.
