Abstract
In general, parents and children have emotional closeness to each other and inner closeness, which is what makes the communication relationship between parents and children close. The development of the times will influence every family to build an intelligent family. Therefore, many parents want to provide the best education for their children. This boarding school-based education is a combination of the public school education system with the Islamic boarding school education system where students receive education and teaching for 24 hours. This research aims to explore spiritual intelligence in long-distance relationships between children and parents, especially among students at SMP IT AlHidayah Boarding School, Bogor, West Java. Using a phenomenological approach, this research focuses on the meaning of long-distance relationships with parents and the experiences of students who come from outside the Bogor area. The results of the research show that the spiritual intelligence of children at SMP IT Al-Hidayah Boarding School is influenced by several important elements such as parenting patterns, the Islamic boarding school environment, and individual experiences at school. Spiritual intelligence includes self-confidence, responsibility, social awareness, and openness. This research also emphasizes the important role of Islamic boarding schools in supporting the development of children's spiritual intelligence, as well as how students participate in various activities that support their academic and spiritual achievements. Pada umumnya Orang tua dengan anak memiliki kedekatan emosional satu sama lain dan kedekatan batin, hal itulah yang menjadikan hubungan komunikasi antara orang tua dengan anak menjadi dekat. Perkembangan zaman akan mempengaruhi setiap keluarga untuk membangun keluarga yang cerdas. Oleh karena itu, banyak orang tua yang ingin memberikan pendidikan terbaik untuk anak mereka. Pendidikan berbasis boarding school ini merupakan perpaduan sistem pendidikan sekolah umum dengan sistem pendidikan pesantren dimana siswa mendapatakan pendidikan dan pengajaran selama 24 jam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kecerdasan spiritual pada hubungan jarak jauh antara anak dan orang tua, khususnya di kalangan santri SMP IT Al-Hidayah Boarding School, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi, penelitian ini berfokus pada pemaknaan hubungan jarak jauh dengan orang tua dan pengalaman santri yang berasal dari luar daerah Bogor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan spiritual anak di SMP IT AlHidayah Boarding School dipengaruhi oleh beberapa elemen penting seperti pola asuh orang tua, lingkungan pesantren, dan pengalaman individu di sekolah. Kecerdasan spiritual meliputi kepercayaan diri, tanggung jawab, kepedulian sosial, dan keterbukaan. Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya peran pondok pesantren dalam mendukung perkembangan kecerdasan spiritual anak, serta bagaimana santri berpartisipasi dalam berbagai kegiatan yang mendukung prestasi akademis dan spiritual mereka.
