Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of social support on parental acceptance of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in agency X. This research uses a quantitative regression approach with a sampling technique, namely saturated sampling. 140 parents who have children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) participated in this research by filling out a research questionnaire via Google form. The instruments used in this research were the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MPSS) to measure social support and the Porter Parental Acceptance Scale (PPAS) to measure parental acceptance. A simple regression test was carried out. The results of the research show that there is a positive influence of social support on parental acceptance of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in agency X with a calculated t value of 31,672 > 1,977. This research also shows that social support has an influence of 87.9% on parental acceptance, and another 12.1% is influenced by variables not explained in this study. Keywords: Social support, parental acceptance, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap penerimaan orang tua pada anak dengan autism spectrum disorder (ASD) di instansi X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif regresi dengan teknik sampling yaitu sampling jenuh. 140 orang tua yang memiliki anak autism spectrum disorder (ASD) berpartisipasi pada penelitian ini dengan mengisi kuesioner penelitian melalui google form. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MPSS) untuk mengukur dukungan sosial dan Porter Parental Acceptance Scale (PPAS) untuk mengukur penerimaan orang tua. Uji regresi sederhana dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh positif dukungan sosial terhadap penerimaan orang tua pada anak dengan autism spectrum disorder (ASD) di instansi X dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 31.672 > 1.977. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh sebesar 87,9% terhadap penerimaan orang tua, dan sebesar 12,1% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak dijelaskan pada penelitian ini.
