Abstract
Film is a communication tool that really helps the effective learning process because of what the eye sees and heard by the ear, this makes the film easily understood compared to reading. Films function as entertainment. However, in the film also contains informative, educative, and persuasive functions. These functions will run well, because films have different characteristics when compared to other conventional educational media. Cameraman or campers (camera person) are people in charge of taking pictures during audio visual production. Cameraman is responsible for the quality of the image obtained. The cameraman must be able to adjust the camera quickly to follow the movement of the player or director's command, for example changing the position of the camera quickly, adjusting the focus and field of view (field of view) of an image. In the pre -production stage, the image stylist makes the concept of visualization of the manuscript that has been made and made a shotlist to facilitate the image stylist during execution in the field. The production of the camera stylist is in charge of taking pictures according to the discussion with the director, and based on the shotlist that has been made. Lastly, after the production of the final stage is responsible for shooting the results at the location to the editor to combine the results of shooting into a film. The film production process "My Happy Brother" the author as a camera person uses the 5'C Cinematography theory in making this film. This 5'C theory is used to attract or direct the audience's attention to the visuals that are seen in this film. The film "My Happy Brother" is inspired by a true story, in this film will tell about a girl who lives a simple life. However, their parents gave him a mandate to become a protector and a companion to his brother who had the person with disabilities, namely deaf. Keywords: Short Film, Camera Person, 5'Cinematography Film adalah sebuah alat komunikasi yang sangat membantu proses pembelajaran yang efektif dikarenakan apa yang dilihat oleh mata dan didengar oleh telinga, hal ini membuat film dapat mudah dipahami dibandikan dengan dibaca. Film berfungsi sebagai hiburan. Namun, di dalam film juga terkandung fungsi informatif, edukatif, dan persuasif. Fungsi-fungsi ini akan berjalan dengan baik, karena film memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda jika dibandingkan dengan media pendidikan lain yang konvensional. Cameraman atau campers (camera person) adalah orang yang bertugas mengambil gambar pada saat produksi audio visual. Kameraman bertangung jawab atas kualitas gambar yang di peroleh. Juru kamera harus mampu melakukan penyesuaian kamerannya secara cepat megikuti gerakan pemain atau perintah sutradara, misalnya mengubah posisi kamera dengan cepat, mengatur fokus serta bidang pandang (field of view) dari suatu gambar. Dalam tahap pra produksi, penata gambar membuat konsep visualisasi dari naskah yang sudah di buat dan di jadikan shotlist untuk memudahkan penata gambar saat eksekusi di lapangan. Ditahap produksi Penata kamera mengambil gambar sesuai dengan diskusi dengan sutradara, dan berdasarkan shotlist yang telah di buat. Pada terakhir yaitu, pasca produksi tahapan akhir bertanggung jawab untuk memberikan hasil shooting di lokasi kepada editor untuk menggabungkan hasil shooting menjadi sebuah film. Proses produksi film ”My Happy Brother” Penulis sebagai Camera Person menggunakan teori 5'C Cinematography dalam pembuatan film ini. Teori 5'C ini di gunakan untuk menarik atau mengarahkan perhatian penonton terhadap visual yang di tampailkan dalam film ini. Film “My Happy Brother” ini terinspirasi dari kisah nyata yang ada, di dalam film ini akan menceritakan tentang seorang anak perempuan yang menjalani kehidupan sederhana. Namun, orang tua mereka memberikan amanah kepadanya untuk menjadi pelindung dan pendamping terhadap kakaknya yang memiliki penyandang disabilitas tersebut yaitu semi tuna rungu.
