Abstract
Electricity can be generated from various sources of renewable and non-renewable primary energy. There are many alternative natural energy sources that can be used to generate electricity, such as wind power. The research was conducted using a Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT) with a Three-Bladed Spiral Blade, with an aspect ratio of 0,128, to determine the impact of the aspect ratio 0,128 on the performance of the HAWT. The purpose of the research is to analyze the performance of the three-bladed spiral HAWT with an aspect ratio of 0,128 to determine if the wind turbine with this aspect ratio can operate more optimally and efficiently at certain wind speeds. The research method used in this study is field testing, which was conducted in three testing sessions. The testing sessions took place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The turbine was tested to verify the performance of the aspect ratio and to obtain the voltage and current at specific wind speeds in Muara Baru, North Jakarta. After conducting research, the highest value was achieved using a Planetary Gear at a wind speed of 5,0 m/s producing a voltage of 55,37 V, a current of 1,28 A, and a torque of 29,54 at a turbine speed of 29,48 Rpm.
