Abstract
The phenomenon of bullying is a problem that often occurs and has a very influential impact on the psychological well-being of individuals who are victims. In Indonesia, bullying cases have become common, especially in the school environment, where as many as 84% or 7 out of 10 children experience bullying. Victims of bullying can be traumatised by the negative events that have occurred. Traumatic events not only have the potential to trigger negative changes, but also have the potential to trigger positive changes in individuals. In various literatures, positive changes are referred to as post-traumatic growth. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of the post-traumatic growth of early adult individuals who have been victims of bullying during school. The research method used is qualitative phenomenology with semistructured interview techniques with the focus of extracting data is post-traumatic growth in victims of bullying. The subjects consisted of four people and were taken using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study have a picture of post-traumatic growth from the four research subjects experiencing significant development after going through the traumatic experience of bullying that they experienced during their school days. There are significant differences between male and female subjects in recovering from the traumatic experience of bullying, male subjects recover faster than female subjects in achieving post-traumatic growth. Keywords: bullying, early adulthood, post-traumatic growth Fenomena bullying menjadi masalah yang seringkali terjadi dan memiliki dampak yang sangat berpengaruh pada kesejahteraan psikologis individu yang menjadi korban. Di Indonesia, kasus bullying telah menjadi hal yang umum terutama di lingkungan sekolah, dimana sebanyak 84% atau 7 dari 10 anak mengalami bullying. Korban bullying mampu mengalami trauma atas kejadian negatif yang sudah terjadi. Peristiwa traumatis tidak hanya berpotensi memicu perubahan negatif, namun juga berpotensi memicu perubahan positif pada individu. Pada berbagai literatur, perubahan positif disebut sebagai post-traumatic growth. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran post traumatic growth individu dewasa awal yang pernah menjadi korban bullying pada masa sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif fenomenologi dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur dengan fokus penggalian data adalah post-traumatic growth pada korban bullying. Subjek terdiri dari empat orang dan diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian memiliki gambaran post-traumatic growth dari keempat subjek penelitian mengalami perkembangan yang cukup signifikan setelah melalui pengalaman traumatis bullying yang mereka alami semasa sekolahnya. Terdapat perbadaan signifikan antara subjek laki-laki dan perempuan dalam pemulihan dari pengalaman traumatis bullying, subjek laki-laki pulih lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan subjek perempuan dalam mencapai post-traumatic growth.
