Abstract

Road users at unsignalized intersections in taking action lack positive instructions, drivers aggressively decide to end the necessary maneuvers when entering the opposite lane. The purpose of this study is to find out traffic data and determine the performance of U-Turn. This research study was conducted on the South Ring Road section of Sukabumi City. The research was conducted at 07.00 - 09.00 WIB, 11.00 - 13.00 WIB, and 16.00 - 18.00 WIB with a time interval of every 15 minutes. The data to be taken in the field are traffic volume, vehicle speed, and turning vehicles. The analysis in this study was carried out with reference to the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023. The presence of a U-Turn causes a decrease in road section performance, the road section before the U-Turn has a saturation degree of 0.34 with a service level of B and in the U-Turn area the saturation degree increases to 0.49 with a service level of B. Vehicle speed has decreased, before the U-Turn the vehicle speed can reach a speed of 37.35 km/h and decreases when approaching the U-Turn to 20.05 km/h. Pengguna jalan di simpang tak bersinyal dalam mengambil tindakan kurang mempunyai petunjuk yang positif, pengemudi dengan agresif memutuskan untuk menyudahi manuver yang diperlukan ketika memasuki ruas yang berlawanan.Tujan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui data lalu lintas dan mengetahui kinerja U-Turn. Studi penelitian ini dilakukakn di ruas Jalan Lingkar Selatan Kota Sukabumi. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada pukul 07.00 – 09.00 WIB,11.00 - 13.00 WIB, dan pukul 16.00 – 18.00 WIB dengan inteval waktu setiap 15 menit. Data yang akan diambil dilapangan yaitu, volume lalu lintas, kecepatan kendaraan, dan kendaraan yang memutar. Analisis pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengacu pada Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2023.. Adanya U-Turn menyebabkan penurunan kinerja ruas jalan, ruas jalan sebelum UTurn memiliki derajat kejenuhan 0,34 dengan tingkat pelayanan B dan pada wilayah U-Turn derajat kejenuhan meningkat menjadi 0,49 dengan tingkat pelayanan B. Kecepatan kendaraan mengalami penurunan, sebelum U-Turn kecepatan kendaraan dapat mencapai kecepatan 37,35 km/jam dan menurun saat mendekati U-Turn menjadi 20,05 km/jam.
