Abstract
The goethe institute cultural centre in jakarta is a cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany with a global focus. The Goethe Institute in Jakarta provides information about German knowledge and provides information about culture, society and politics in Germany. The cultural centre of the Goethe Institute in Jakarta supports cultural cooperation, among other things, by holding cultural events or participating in festivals in the fields of film, dance, music, theatre, exhibitions, literature, and translation. The Goethe institute cultural centre in Jakarta uses the biophilic concept with several objectives. The biophilic concept focuses on the relationship between humans and nature, which is considered important for improving comfort and quality. By integrating natural elements into the design, such as the use of natural materials, natural lighting, with visual elements that connect users with nature, biophilic design can achieve the main goal of improving the quality of space and reducing stress experienced by users. The design method used is design thinking with DK.Ching's design principles approach. In addition, biophilic design can increase awareness and appreciation of the natural and cultural environment. This is very relevant to the purpose of the Goethe Institut Jakarta Cultural Centre, which serves as a centre for the promotion of German culture in Jakarta. Keywords: Goethe institute cultural centre in jakarta, Interior, Biophilic Pusat kebudayaan goethe institute di jakarta ialah lembaga kebudayaan Republik Federal Jerman yang berfokus dengan jangkauan global. Goethe institute di jakarta memberikan informasi mengenai pengetahuan jerman dan memberikan informasi mengenai budaya, masyarakat, dan politik di jerman. Pusat kebudayaan goethe institute di jakarta mendukung kerja sama kebudayaan antara lain dengan mengadakan acara budaya atau berpartisipasi dalam festival di bidang film, tari, music, teater, pameran, sastra, dan penerjemahan. Pusat kebudayaan Goethe institute jakarta menggunakan konsep biophilic dengan beberapa tujuan. Konsep biophilic ini berfokus pada kaitan individu dengan alam, yang dianggap krusial guna meningkatkan kenyamanan dan kualitas. Dengan mengintergrasikan elemen – elemen alam ke dalam desain, layaknya penggunaan material alami, pencahayaan alami, dengan elemen visual yang menghubungkan pengguna dengan alam, desain biophilic bisa meraih tujuan pokok guna meningkatkan kualitas ruang dan mengurangi stress yang di alami pengguna. Metode perancangan yang digunakan yakni design thingking dengan pendekatan ajaran desain DK.Ching. Selain itu, desain biophilic bisa meningkatkan kesadaran dan apresiasi terhadap lingkungan alam dan budaya. Ini amat relevan dengan tujuan Pusat Kebudayaan Goethe Institut Jakarta, yang berfungsi sebagai pusat promosi budaya Jerman di Jakarta.
