Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between interpersonal communication and marital satisfaction among husbands and wives in South Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative and the Pearson Correlation technique. Sampling was carried out using non-probability sampling technique and obtained a sample of 110 respondents. Measurement of Interpersonal Communication uses the Interpersonal Communication Inventory (ICI) instrument from (Bienvenu, 1976). Marital Satisfaction using ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (EMS) from (Fowers and Olson., 2012). The results of research using the Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis method prove that there is a low positive relationship with a correlation of 0.271 between Interpersonal Communication and Marital Satisfaction in Husbands and Wives in South Jakarta, which means that the higher the Interpersonal Communication, the higher the Marital Satisfaction and vice versa, the lower the Interpersonal Communication, the lower it is. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada Hubungan Komunikasi Interpersonal Dengan Kepuasan Pernikahan Pada Suami Istri Di Jakarta Selatan dengan Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dan tehnik korelasi Pearson Correlation. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik nonprobability sampling dan memperoleh sampel sebanyak 110 responden. Pengukuran Komunikasi Interpersonal menggunakan instrument Interpersonal Communication Inventory (ICI) dari (Bienvenu, 1976). Kepuasan Pernikahan menggunakan ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (EMS) dari (Fowers dan olson., 2012). Hasil penelitian dengan metode analisis Pearson’s correlation coefficient membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif rendah dengan korelasi 0.271 antara Komunikasi Interpersonal dengan Kepuasan Pernikahan Pada Suami Istri Di Jakarta Selatan yang artinya semakin tinggi Komunikasi Interpersonal maka semakin Tinggi Kepuasan Pernikahan begitu pula sebaliknya semakin rendah Komunikasi Interpersonal maka semakin rendah Kepuasan Pernikahan.
