Abstract
Acculturation is the process of mixing two cultures into one and without losing the original cultural identity. Kali Pasir Mosque is a historical building that is worthy of the cultural acculturation found in its design. As well as there is no research on cultural acculturation and diversity in the architectural elements of the mosque. The purpose of this research is to reveal what culture is found in the Kali Pasir Mosque building design. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with the study of literature, observation and interviews. From the analysis, it can be concluded that there are elements of Javanese and Chinese culture in the design of Kali Pasir Mosque building. The architecture of the mosque building with elements of Javanese culture which is more dominant lies in the building and roof of the mosque which resembles the traditional Javanese house of worship, namely Tajug. While architecture with elements of Chinese culture dominates the part of mosque minarets that resemble Pagodas. Akulturasi adalah proses percampuran dua kebudayaan menjadi satu dan tanpa menghilangkan identitas budaya asli. Masjid Kali Pasir merupakan bangunan bersejarah yang layak diteliti akulturasi budaya yang terdapat pada desainnya. Serta belum terdapat penelitian tentang akulturasi budaya dan keragaman pada elemen arsitektur Masjid tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap budaya apa saja yang terdapat pada desain bangunan Masjid Kali Pasir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi literatur, observasi dan wawancara. Dari hasil analisa dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat unsur budaya Jawa dan Tionghoa pada desain bangunan Masjid Kali Pasir. Arsitektur bangunan masjid dengan unsur budaya Jawa yang lebih dominan terletak pada bangunan serta atap masjid yang menyerupai rumah ibadah adat Jawa, yaitu Tajug. Sedangkan arsitektur dengan unsur budaya Tionghoa lebih mendominasi di bagian menara masjid yang menyerupai Pagoda.
