Abstract

Public open space in the cultural heritage area of the old city of Jakarta has become an interesting thing for visitors in the city city adjacent to Jakarta such as Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi and Karawang. The existence of the museum buildings surrounding the museum has a fascination for visitors and as well as a magnet for the activities of a public nature, although the cultural heritage area of the old city has many shortcomings such as the number of street vendors who take advantage of pedestrian pathways, as well as switching function pedesterian path into the parking lot as well the lack of trees in the public spaces that make the visitors quiet during the day, the existence of trees in the cutting in the public space makes visitors prefer the edge of the building to shelter and the placement of landfills near the public space mejadikan disturbed visitors with the smell of the timbulkan and still lack of facilities common in the area. Questions in this study are: How to make public space in museum fatahilah jakarta more optimal and visitors feel comfortable during a visit to the public space museum Fatahilah to have more attraction for visitors, especially other areas and the general public around. Data sources include notes, interviews and observations. Through the results of the research is expected to get the results of identifying the optimization of public space in museum Fatahilah Jakarta in order to have more appeal for visitors and make public space in museum Fatahilah become more activities in the area so that the area gets crowded even more during the daytime. Ruang Terbuka publik di kawasan cagar budaya kota tua Jakarta sudah menjadi hal yang menarik bagi para pengunjung di kota kota yang berdekatan dengan jakarta diantaranya Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi dan Karawang. Keberadaan bangunan musium musium di sekitarnya memiliki daya tarik bagi pengunjung dan serta menjadi magnet untuk beraktifitas yang bersifat publik, meskipun demikian kawasan cagar budaya kota tua memiliki banyak kekurangan diantaranya banyaknya pedagang kaki lima yang memanfaatkan jalur pedestarian, serta beralih fungsinya jalur pedesterian menjadi lahan parkir serta kurangnya pohon pada ruang publik yang menjadikan sepinya pengunjung pada siang hari,adanya pohon yang di tebang pada ruang publik menjadikan pengunjung lebi memilih pinggiran gedung untuk meneduh serta penempatan tempat pembuangan sampah di dekat ruang publik mejadikan pengunjung terganggu dengan bau yang di timbulkan serta masih kurangnya fasilitas umum yang ada pada area tersebut. Pertanyaan dalam penelitian ini ialah: Bagaimana caranya agar ruang publik di museum fatahilah jakarta lebih optimal dan pengunjung merasa nyaman pada saat berkunjung ke ruang publik museum fatahilah agar lebih memiliki daya tarik bagi pengunjung khususnya daerah lain dan umunya masyarakat sekitar. Sumber data berupa catatan, wawancara dan observasi. Melalui hasil penelitian di harapkan dapat mendapatkan hasil indentifikasi optimalisasi ruang publik di museum fatahilah Jakarta agar memiliki daya tarik yang lebih bagi pengunjung dan membuat ruang publik di museum fatahilah menjadi lebih banyak aktifitas di area tersebut sehingga area tersibut semakin ramai meskipun siang hari.
