Abstract

Thermal comfort is one element of comfort is very important, because it involves a comfortable room temperature conditions.This study aims to identify and analyze how the convenience of students to the dining room and the perception of students in activities at cafetaria in Budi Luhur University, This study uses quantitative descriptive approach. Directly to the field measurements using a measuring instrument such as thermometer, anemometer and hygrometer. Then at a time when the same measurement is also carried out a questionnaire to the user granting canteen as respondents. After already getting results measurement, direct measurement results are recorded. Based on studies conducted, it was concluded that the average value of the temperature was 33.6ºC, which means the heat was uncomfortable, the average value of the wind speed reaches 0.05 m/s (standard = < 0.25 m/s and > 0.15 m/s), the average value of the humidity reaches 53% (standard = 55% - 60%), and the average value of radiation reached 32.1ºC. Results PMV and PPD on the first day with the highest score of the responder is heat (48%) and the index sensation of thermal comfort in heat (75%), while the result of the PMV and PPD on the second day by respondents heat (48%), while the index of comfort thermal is warm (70%). Kenyamanan termal merupakan salah satu unsur kenyamanan yang sangat penting, karena menyangkut kondisi suhu ruangan yang nyaman. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis bagaimana kenyamanan mahasiswa terhadap ruang makan dan persepsi mahasiswa dalam beraktivitas di kantin Universitas Budi Luhur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengukuran langsung ke lapangan menggunakan alat ukur seperti thermometer, anemometer dan hygrometer. Kemudian saat pengukuran diwaktu yang bersamaan pula dilakukan pemberian kuesioner kepada pengguna kantin sebagai responden. Setelah sudah mendapatkan hasil pengukuran, hasil pengukuran langsung dicatat. Berdasarkan studi yang dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa nilai rata-rata suhu udara mencapai 33.6ºC yang berarti panas tidak nyaman, nilai rata-rata kecepatan angin mencapai 0.05 m/s (standar = <0.25 m/s dan >0.15 m/s), nilai rata-rata kelembaban mencapai 53% (standar = 55%-60%), dan nilai rata-rata radiasi mencapai 32.1ºC. Hasil PMV dan PPD pada hari pertama dengan nilai tertinggi dari tanggapan responden adalah panas (48%) dan dari indeks sensasi kenyamanan termal panas (75%), sedangkan hasil PMV dan PPD pada hari kedua berdasarkan responden panas (48%) sedangkan pada indeks kenyamanan termal adalah hangat (70%).
