Abstract

Franchise businesses or commonly known as franchises are chosen by prospective new entrepreneurs in Indonesia because they have a fairly small loss factor compared to building a business from scratch, currently, many Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia have run their business with a franchise system, however, it is still constrained in expanding its business network to remote or certain areas in Indonesia due to limited information, reach and long distances, plus during the current covid-19 pandemic, it is not possible to hold meetings in person. By utilizing internet technology, which currently has increasing users, we have a solution in solving problems for marketing franchise products as well as providing clear information related to the franchise business by creating the FRIENDCHISE application, where this application is website-based and can be reached to remote parts of Indonesia which has a network. Internet. In building or designing this application, the researcher uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method which can build a system in a relatively fast time and is also one of the methods that apply the stages of planning, analysis, design and implementation. Therefore, we titled our scientific work "Design of Friendchise Applications in Franchise-Based MSME Businesses” Keywords: Franchise, MSME, Business, Franchising, Entrepreneurship Bisnis waralaba atau biasa yang dikenal dengan franchise banyak dipilih oleh calon pengusaha baru di Indonesia dikarenakan memiliki faktor kerugian yang cukup kecil dibanding dengan membangun usaha dari awal, saat ini Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) diIndonesia sudah banyak yang menjalankan bisnisnya dengan sistem franchise, namun masih terkendala dalam memperluas jaringan bisnisnya sampai ke pelosok atau wilayah tertentu diIndonesia dikarena dengan keterbatasan informasi, jangkauan dan juga jarak yang jauh ditambah lagi pada masa pandemi covid-19 saat ini yang tidak memungkinkan untuk mengadakan pertemuan secara langsung. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi internet yang saat ini penggunanya semakin meningkat, maka kami memiliki solusi dalam memecahkan masalah untuk memasarkan produk franchise juga memberikan informasi yang jelas terkait bisnis franchise dengan membuat aplikasi FRIENDCHISE, dimana aplikasi ini berbasis website dan dapat dijangkau sampai dengan pelosok Indonesia yang memiliki jaringan internet. Dalam membangun atau merancang aplikasi ini, peneliti melakukannya dengan Metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang bisa membangun sistem dengan waktu relatif cepat dan juga merupakan salah satu metode yang menerapkan tahapan perencanaan, analisis, desain dan implementasi Maka dari itu kami memberi judul karya ilmiah kami ”Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Friendchise Pada Bisnis UMKM berbasis Waralaba” Kata kunci: Franchise, Friendchise, RAD, UMKM, Usaha, Waralaba
