Abstract

Film is a form of electronic mass communication in the form of audio-visual media capable of displaying words, sounds, images and their combinations. Film is also one of the second forms of modern communication to appear in the world. Universally, a family is a household that is related by blood or marriage or provides the basic instrumental functions and expressive functions of the family for its members who are in a network. Affection is the most basic thing, which must be received by every human being, affection can also be called a right that must be received, because the psychological role of affection has a very big influence on a person's growth and development. A father will strive for the welfare of his family or his daughter to fulfill the happiness of those around him. The challenges and obstacles faced by a person with a disability do not reduce the magnanimity of the father's role. This research uses Roland Barthes' Semiotic Theory. The nature of this research is descriptive, using a qualitative type of research approach. This research method using semiotic analysis focuses on the meaning of each sign in the form of denotation and connotation in the film Miracle In Cell No.7. The denotational meaning in the Korean version of the film Miracle In Cell No. 7 is about the struggle of a father who really loves his only daughter, he works hard and is willing to sacrifice for the sake of his beloved child. The connotation meaning in the Korean version of the film Miracle In Cell No. 7 is that parents' love is very broad. Keywords: Meaning of Affection, Film, Semiotics Film adalah suatu bentuk komunikasi massa elektronik yang berupa media audio visual yang mampu menampilkan kata-kata, bunyi, citra, dan kombinasinya. Film juga merupakan salah satu bentuk komunikasi modern yang kedua muncul di dunia. Secara universal keluarga adalah rumah tangga yang memiliki hubungan darah atau perkawinan atau menyediakan terselenggaranya fungsi-fungsi instrumental mendasar dan fungsi-fungsi ekspresif keluarga bagi para anggotanya yang berada dalam suatu jaringan. Kasih sayang merupakan sesuatu yang paling mendasar, yang harus diterima oleh setiap manusia, kasih sayang bisa disebut juga sebagai suatu hak yang harus diterima, karena peran kasih sayang secara psikologis sangat berpengaruh terhadap tumbuh kembangnya seseorang. Seorang ayah akan berupaya demi kesejahteraan keluarganya ataupun putrinya untuk memenuhi kebahagiaan orang disekitarnya, dengan hambatan dan rintangan seorang disabilitas tidak mengurangi kebesaran hati peran ayah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Terori Semiotika Roland Barthes. Sifat dari penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, melalui tipe penelitian pendekatan kualitatif. Metode penelitian dengan analisis semiotika ini memfokuskan pada makna masingmasing tanda berupa denotasi dan konotasi pada film Miracle In Cell No.7. Makna denotasi dalam film Miracle In Cell No 7 versi Korea adalah tentang perjuangan seorang ayah yang sangat mengasihi/menyayangi anak perempuan satusatunya, makna konotasi dalam film Miracle In Cell No 7 versi Korea yakni kasih sayang orang tua yang begitu luas.
